Stayed here for the month of January. Rooms are big but dirty. Fans where black with dust and floors are filthy. U need to wear your shoes the whole time or your feet turn black. So gross. Mattress is 40 years old. Lol. Had to go to costco and buy a topper for the mattress was soooo bad. The noise is unbereable because of the high traffic area and 2 restaurants accross the street. The noise never ended. If you are looking for some quiet time, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. Balcony is very very small, we hardly had room to sit 2 chairs. Very disappointed with the whole experience. Will NEVER rent there again. They have a hot tub on the roof top that they drain every 3 days as they dont heat it or use chemicals. Disgusting. As they drain it.....it it poors out and splashes onto several balconies...including ours. Eewww all that yellow, green water. Yuk!!! 🤮 This place needs to be updated. Everything is old and broken. It was the worst place we ever stayed. Stay away!!!! There are so many other great places around that are cleaner and newer. You get what you pay for. I give this place 2*. ...
Read moreStayed here for 16 days. Wonderful experience. There are different classes of rooms. The best rooms have a kitchen and their own terrace. These are reserved years in advance. Forget about getting them. The rest have no view . All the rooms are old but clean. Nice towels, tube tvs with lots of English channels, new air conditioners. Average sized cement pool and deck chairs. Very friendly and helpful. Our hallway was cleaned at least 2 times per day. If you are looking for basic clean room with great friendly service, This is the place. If you want a fancy vacation spot, look further. New vegetarian restaurant just opened downstairs. The restaurant upstairs has one of the best views in town. Some reviewers said the meals are hit and miss. Ours was good. It is located near numerous small grocery stores and a large supermarket. There are taco stands all over. Bus stops are near by. This is 3 blocks from the ocean. So you only see the ocean in the distance. They are one of the few hotels that has a mission statement on their website. They practice what...
Read morePaloma Del Mar was of great interest to us because we could call them and confirm by phone that they had secure, off-street parking. The hotel is not modern, but the Wifi, TV and AC all worked well. The hotel was quite economical. The hotel is several blocks north of the end of the malecon and about 5 blocks inland. Shortcomings included the towels - only one bath towel each and no face cloths nor hand towels. I found the mattress uncomfortable. There wasn't a reading lamp on the bedside shelf. The chairs in the room and on the patio were not comforable. The chambermaid did not service our room in the morning, but showed up during siesta, not at all convenient. A number of chicken coops across Honduras from the hotel provided wakeup calls courtesy of roosters, at 5:30AM. My wife said she would be pleased to return to the Paloma Del Mar, as she especially liked the view and the patio. I found the hotel to be...
