---WAITERS ALTER PRIECES TO GET MORE MONEY FOR THEIR OWN POCKET---- My husband,my two babies and I came here to have dinner, our Waiter was Victor, we asked him for the price of an orange juice pitcher, he said he would go to the kitchen and ask, he came back saying it was $170.00 pesos ( which is crazy overpriced!!, you can actually get the same amount of juice in a really good restauran for no more than $40.00 pesos!) we accepted because we refuse to drink soda and because we had water all day, so we wanted something different. We were tired and very hungry, our kids were fuZzy and quite ready to eat, so We ordered our food and right after the waiter comes back and tells us that people In the kitchen changed their mind and that the picher will now be $300.00 pesos!!!!! So we asked to speak to a manager and he rudely left us talking and took off, he then came back with an agresive attitude and so I explained the situation to the manager, and he looks over to Victor (the waiter) and tells him in a loud voice -"I told you it would cost $140.00 pesos!!!" - manager apologized But kept Victor there.servicing other tables. We asked manager to change our waiter. Yes, our new waiter was nice but it all seemed fishy!...it's like everyone knows about the whole---PRICE INCRESE--- it made us think that they do this all the time and more to TURISTS because we really don't know about local prices (real prices)!!! Food is not even worth the wait. Plus it's right next to park benches where people sit and smoke. So you're basically shoving "meh" food down your throught while you do hard core 2nd hand smoking and waiters just juice your wallet because they think that since you're a turist you just have no clue!!!!! BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU FALL INTO...

Ridiculously expensive for the kind of food it serves, and while I reckon this might be because of the location, I don’t think the attention and the food quality are worth it. While the Classic hamburger and an onion soup I ordered were fairly alright—delicious, even—one of the people who went with me ordered the arrachera tacos and these were cold, the tortillas were stiff, the meat was rubbery and the chips looked and tasted as if they had been cooked hours before and simply reheated before served. Also, for some reason the waiter wasn’t pleased at all when I asked for a glass of water instead of ordering a drink and kept giving me the evil eye from afar. I don’t recommend the place at all and you can find all their dishes at more affordable and nicer places...

We stopped for a quick coffee before the Frida museum. The pushy waiter kept trying to sell us extra coffee, cookies, and breakfasts for 30 minutes, not letting us talk in peace. When we asked for some peace, he started rolling his eyes and got offended. When we asked for the bill, we decided to check it. It turned out that he charged us $30 more for the coffee. When we asked for an explanation of the difference, he suddenly stopped speaking English and just shrugged. beware of this place, it smells like a scam from a mile away.

The food was okay- I had a fried fish with French fries. I didn’t like the tomatoe sauce on the fish, didn’t seem like the right balance for a local fish. The portions were huge for me alone so definitely recommend splitting it with someone, but the cocktail drink was good. The bill came out to $14.5 including 20% tip. Warning: the waiter tried to con me into giving a 50% tip but I kept ignoring the 50% tip question until he said 20% tip.

It was only breakfast, and there were very few people in the restaurant, but I was super impressed with the service, some of the best I've seen in Mexico. The food was good value, I ordered package deal #1. I think the eggs and the mushrooms were fried in some kind of oil, not olive oil. I would return, at least for breakfast. There was more fruit, but I ate it before thinking to take a picture 😜😜
