We tried the Especial tamale for 50 pesos and it was delicious! Banana leaf wrap and it contained plum within, with tasty salsa and onions on the side. Definitely recommend for a quick bite and friendly service. Located just to the left of the entrance to this alleyway.

Incredible tamales! The elote was deliciously sweet, and the cafe was something I've never had before. The kicker is the red salsa was the spiciest (but still balanced like all the salsas in Mexico) we've had in 3 days of eating around Mexico city!

Criminal that a junk 1 star review is dragging down the rating for this spot. Best tamales around, they're oaxaqueños (so bigger and wrapped in banana leaves instead of corn husks) and have tons of great flavors. Absolutely a "hidden gem" though, it's actually hard to notice from the...
