Pacifico café
My daughter chose this place because she saw the chilaquiles were good. It's a very small cafe, not particularly exquisitely decorated, save for the rainbows) and pretty plain. On the sidewalk they have a semi enclosed place to eat outside.
You see we started our journey through Mexico a few weeks ago and when our initial plane flight into Mexico stopped in Mexico City on our way south we ended up getting chilaquiles at the airport and we hated them. For over 2 weeks we've been in Mexico avoiding this dish because of our airport experience but we ordered it here. OMG they were amazing. We ended up ordering the chorizo chilaquiles. They were served with nacho chips and beans. No salsa. I'm a chilliquillis convert now! I'm not an expert but I love the way this dish was prepared here. However, I wish that I would have had the attention of someone at the restaurant to explain to me if the dish came with a salsa or not.
Clearly we were visitors and would have liked a little bit more attention but it did not detract from our enjoyment of the restaurant.
One of the best lattes I've had on the trip. Not the best decorated but oh my God, so rich and buttery smooth. If I had to guess, it was probably a darker roast then the lighter roasted beans from Chiapas we have been getting in the south. Loved it. What really made it even better was the mug that it was served in. It was a heavy mug that kept the drink hot and made it even so much more enjoyable. That's called attention to detail and you saw that nearly everywhere while eating at this restaurant.
The chai latte was also probably the best one I have had short of being in New Delhi. A bit spicy (I assume hard on the ginger and pepper) and missing the buffalo milk, nevertheless, it brought back memories of India. I would say it was nearly perfect.
Waitress seemed a bit shy but she was efficient. The guys in the kitchen and what appeared to be the manager or owner had that place rocking. Rainbow flags🏳️🌈🌈 everywhere, the place was fabulous! Service was better on our second visit. The owner or manager was very nice to us.
I saw someone eating a torta (bagel) there and it also looked very good. I'm looking forward to hopefully trying one on our return. (I did.)
We tried the mango water follow what visit and it was really good. You may want to ask for extra ice?

Read moreGahh this place was crazy cool! The vibes were off the charts and you could tell this was a very community-friendly place! They had poster up everywhere advertising local events that were coming up, and the atmosphere just seemed so friendly. Even the bathroom was so vibey with its pink walls and everything. The waiter that was serving us was nice and pretty organized. I ordered a salmon avocado bagel and a chai latte, which were pretty good! I loved the bagel and even had my friend's who couldn't finish hers. The chai wasn't my favorite, but it was satisfying enough. I'm not going to lie I wanted to return to this place to try all of their bagels, but maybe next time. Would highly highly recommend this place for sure if you're looking for a simple and vibey...

We went on a Chilaquiles brunch day and they were serving some seriously tasty bowls with all the toppings you can ask for. There is a really nice terrace to sit outside, surrounded by plants and the sound of chirping of birds. They also make excellent coffee and chai lattes!
Excited to go back and try other things on the menu, which all look...
