El Bajío — Restaurant in Mexico City

I don't remember which El Bajío we went to, I will be so honest. But I liked it nonetheless! We went here with our tour guide after we got a tour of Templo Mayor and various museums of Spain and artwork. The waiter serving us was obviously very seasoned and some of the people helping him were very nice and patient with us. I ordered Mexican rice with an egg--simple but it was amazing. When you're tired of VIPs and want some authentic Mexican food (from the Bajío in this case), do yourself a favor and visit this place. We tried it for breakfast. The pan dulce (pastries) were out of this world delicious. The omelette with flor de calabaza (zucchini blossom), cheese and carnitas was excellent and so were the tamales.
