El Hijo del Cuervo — Restaurant in Mexico City

Made an unplanned stop here. Nice patio overlooking the square. Lively location with great people-watching. Service was a little slow, but nothing awful. The drinks were fine. But the food wasn't the greatest. The restaurant is listed as "American Food" on google, and has a menu that is a mix of American and Mexican options. We ordered the nachos with beef and guacamole. Not sure what I was expecting, but it was definitely Americanized nachos. Talking those round yellow bag tortilla chips, covered with orange can cheese, ground beef (no seasoning), jar jalapenos and from-the-container guac. On par with little league baseball game nachos. Didn't taste bad...just not what I was expecting in Mexico City. My wife chose not to eat very much of it, so at least...

We stopped here twice during our day visit to Coyoacan, the first time to grab a beer on the patio and people watch. This place is great for that. The second time was to get out of the rain. I didn't love the inside of the place, and I can't testify to the food since we only had beers, but the staff was very nice and I can recommend the patio to have a beer and pause during your stroll...

El hijo del Cuervo se encuentra en el centro de Coyoacán, accesible ubicación, no tiene estacionamiento propio pero puede encontrar muchos estacionamientos que pueden estar abiertos 24 horas o que cierren en la madrugada o si es posible encontrar espacio en calles cercanas, tiene un área de terraza, después un bar, yo visité un salón donde se presentó una banda excelente para este tipo de evento hice una reservación con bastante tiempo de anticipación, al llegar los lugares respetados y en orden, buena música antes de iniciar la banda, tiene un menú bastante surtido, tiene opción de ensalada y palitos de verdura para quien desee cenar ligero y disfrutar de la música, puede elegir bebida sin jarabe la combinación de ginebra, agua mineral y cáscara de limón excelente. La banda ofreció un set listo bastante completo. El tiempo de solicitar los alimentos a la llegada a la mesa acorde a lo solicitado así como las bebidas, buena presentación y sabor, la atención del mesero bien. El ambiente es excelente. Tiene rampa para el acceso a una silla con ruedas, baños también. La realidad que cumplió con mi expectativa de pasar...
