These carnitas comments must be old. I came specifically to try them as well as chicharron, in the combo of both with a gordita.
Chicharron I guess just isn't my thing; was more texture than flavor. The carnitas were disappointing - really good stuff a block north of here I had yesterday, but these ones were pretty flavorless, nothing to them. It is wild for me to see all these positive reviews, although they are also apparently 1-3 years old now. Mine also had a fair amount of bone or cartilage chunks to deal with, which wasn't particularly pleasant.
