2025 #171, CDMX 2025 #89: have been meaning to come here for ages to either try their pancita or chilaquiles.
Came a few weeks ago ~13:00 on a Sunday, and that was not surprisingly a no-go 😅 came back Monday at 9:30am and were immediately seated.
Upon entering you immediately are cocooned in the aromas of the pancita. Despite this, I went ahead and ordered their chilaquiles verdes (will try their rojos next time). Portion, price and flavor were all solid, but I still prefer Fonda Margarita to every other chilaquiles I've had in the city.
Service was friendly, attentive, fast. Ambiance is classic/typical Mexican place. Type of place people say provecho as they walk out.
Will happily come back here as it's way closer to where I live than Fonda Margarita. Will get their pancita or chilaquiles rojos (and cafe de olla) next time.

Don’t be shy green-go try it!
I rolled into La Pancita de la Roma half-asleep, slightly hungover, and emotionally fragile basically the perfect state for pancita. There was a little wait, but that’s just the gods of good food making sure only the faithful survive. When that bowl finally landed on my table, it smelled like redemption and bad decisions healing in real time.
One spoonful in and I swear I saw my childhood, my ancestors, and the Virgin of Guadalupe giving me a thumbs up. That pancita wasn’t just breakfast it was therapy with spice. Then came the chilaquiles. Crunchy, saucy, chaotic perfection. Every bite felt like a telenovela plot twist: dramatic, messy, and addictive.
If you’re in Roma and you don’t stop here, honestly, call your doctor your taste buds might be broken. Yeah, you’ll wait a bit, but good things take time… and this was divine intervention in...
Read moreThis place is busy and you have to wait at least 20 minutes for a table. Service is not great, but it's possible that they had less waiters this morning. This place have so many good reviews, but they all seem to be about the same dishe (very popular meat soup) it has horrendous smell and all it is, is skin, fat and broth. Unfortunately the smell didn't allow me to eat it, so we had to order something else and the food didn't...
