Fonda Mi Lupita Mole Nupcial Artesanal — Restaurant in Mexico City

Wow, I was craving some food after working out and I walked by this place. It was packed with locals and a Señor stirring a huge clay pot of mole. Mole enchiladas are one of my favorite foods. I ordered the mole chicken breast and was basically told that I'm getting the enchiladas. Definitely go for the pan as well, 4 pesos for a huge loaf to sop up that delicious sauce.

Now the food - outstanding! I've been all over Mexico including Oaxaca and I'd venture to say this is one of the top moles I've ever had. It was unbelievably cheap, a huge quantity, fresh tortillas, delicious jucy shredded chicken... It pains me to think of the very underwhelming $2,000+ meals we had in Chapultepec. I was so happy to find this place.

Came here after a morning exploring Zolcalo square. This place had the best mole I have ever tasted! We got the super special enchilladas with bread to share between two people. The mole was very flavorful and I highly recommend ordering the bread to soak up the leftover sauce.

I love Mole, mole, mole.... (dr. evil) I was feining for Mole and this local gem hit the spot. Basic Spanish should work if you know what you want. Don't come here with other food options in mind - come here with Mole on your mind and you will be soaring with delight.
