I’ve been to Gold Taco in person and always left extremely satisfied. The food is excellent, and the women who work there are friendly and always get my order right. It’s vegetarian, but they have vegan options for almost everything. (In addition to being vegan, I’m gluten-free and have a strong aversion to onions, so finding delicious food that meets all my criteria is a tall order!)
I rarely order delivery because it normally involves so much waste. Not so at Gold Taco! I was surprised at how small the bag was – I actually stood there waiting for the UberEats cyclist to pull out more bags – and yet it was more food than I could eat in one sitting. Two tacos, two tamales and a soup – generous portions of all. When everything was done, the wrapping waste compacted down into one tiny container. Amazing!
As always, the food was super tasty and they got my finicky order 100% correct. I have a feeling ordering from Gold Taco is going to be a weekly occurrence. Getting hungry just...
Read more“Goal Taco is a really cute spot with good food, located in a market full of restaurants. When you go, I recommend ordering first and then heading to the back where there are more tables, chairs, and even a TV. The space in front is small, so it can be a bit awkward to eat there while people are coming in and out to place orders. If you’re fully vegan, there are options here and at one other spot, but the market has plenty of other places to explore.
The vibe really picks up in the afternoon, so I’d suggest going then rather than at lunch when it’s quieter. One important tip: make sure to order everything you want at once. Since there are only two people working, it can take a while if you order in stages, especially when more customers arrive. Overall, it’s a pretty good place, and I definitely recommend...
Read moreA truly nasty experience at Gold Taco Roma. When I visited to place my takeout order there was only one man working. He took my money, touched his phone, and crawled around on the ground to get the ingredients to make my food in the small space. He then proceeded to make my food without washing or sanitizing his hands or using gloves. No sanitary practices whatsoever, even after his bare hands were literally touching the dirty floor. Where is the common sense? Disgusting and rude behavior exhibited to a paying and tipping customer. The food was also mediocre and there are much better, cheaper, vegan alternatives in La Roma. Go elsewhere, you will...
