Indian Desi Tadka — Restaurant in Mexico City

Extremely small portions for the price. The flavor was great and so was the service, but the portion size was so small I still cant get over it.

I got the butter chicken and you can see how small the bowl is compared to my hand… and my hands aren’t big. In the second picture what you see is the entire portion of meat after I fished it out of the curry. And that spoon next to the chicken is a tablespoon so you have a better idea of the size.

That’s it! Are you kidding me? It’s probably about 120 grams of chicken. That’s it. No rice included.

When they brought out my order I was wondering what it was… maybe some special appetizer or something… and then realized that was the main dish.

Anyways, I had to go get some street tacos nearby immediately after to fill my stomach.

The taste is great - a lot of flavor and spice. But come on, this is a child’s portion. And for that...
