Mictlan Antojitos Veganos will absolutely take your breath away! The traditional blue tortillas were just the beginning of the mind-blowing journey.
When I first saw this place on Google, I thought it looked too good to be true, but I knew I had to try it. I didn't set any expectations to avoid disappointment, but boy, was I pleasantly surprised!
I ordered my all-time favorite vegan dish, the quesadilla de chicharrón prensado, and it blew my mind. The flavor, seasoning, and texture of the setas were spot-on, just like real chicharrón prensado. I couldn't believe how well they recreated the taste.
Next up, the gordita de carnitas - it was pure perfection. The carnitas were incredibly soft, not like the hard versions you find elsewhere. They absolutely nailed the texture, making it a delight to savor.
The Sope was equally delicious, and the cheese was so convincingly real that it's hard to put into words. You have to experience it to believe it.
This place is now one of my all-time favorite restaurants. The food left us in awe, and we were so amazed that we ordered takeout the very next day - and guess what? The experience was just as extraordinary.
It's like trying to explain what silence is - you can't until you experience it. You'll have that look on your face like you've just discovered fire.
I can't wait to go back, and I highly recommend Mictlan Antojitos Veganos to everyone. You'll be pleased beyond measure by the incredible food they serve. Friendly, welcoming, and absolutely delightful - this restaurant has won...

To drink, we ordered the agua of the day, which was cocoa- cool and not too sweet, even my chocolate hating partner enjoyed this.
To eat, we ordered: the questlaxcalli with three different guisados, the chorizo, the chicharron and the champinones. All three were excellent, and the chorizo was my favorite. We had this with a medium heat salsa (that had a good kick). the tlacolli: this was a tlacoyo, which we ordered with the dry bean interior. Another incredible dish- I wasn’t sure how the bean interior would taste, but I was most pleasantly surprised. the bocolli: also excellent, had a bit more filling than the questlaxcali. the chiltlaxcalli, which are enchiladas with salsa roja. This was not bad, but I enjoyed the other dishes so much more that I recommend sticking to those instead.
This was an incredible meal overall- the food has a loving homecooked feel to it, and the service is kind and thoughtful. I highly recommend visiting! My only regret is that I was too full for dessert, but next time for sure!

Read moreThis place is bomb. I got food to go while I was visiting the city a couple weeks back. I loved everything I tried. I had the pambazo, a gordita and a quesadilla, oh and a donut! I got it to go and it was all packaged well and got home in good condition. The service was super nice and I was able to pay with card. They have outside sitting and have refreshing drinks daily. I dont often write reviews but I saw someone left a bad review whining about how their boyfriend or whatever wasn't allowed to eat their animal product dish with them at the place (rolls eyes) and so I figured they needed all the good reviews they can because they are awesome and deserve it.
Gracias por su servicio, cuando regrese a la ciudad vuelvo a pasar por una...
