Ostionería Mazatlán — Restaurant in Mexico City

Terrible place. Sea food is known for not being cheap, but this restaurant plays ir ALL WRONG!

Expensive and TERRIBLE SERVICE. The staff was inefficient and rude.

Starting at the valet parking. Then at the gates of the restaurant the host was gloomy and uneducated. They dragged me literally to a horrid table when I indicated that I was eating alone.

From that moment on they left me unattended for more than 7 minutes until I called. Once I ordered they left me again for more than 15 minutes. I was busy on my smartphone but I had to call the Waiter again for help.

After such treatment I decided to finish my first course wich was plane, small and poorly served. So I did not order anything else. I woke up to the restroom and the place was dirty, stinky and no toilet seat. Disgusting!

How come they have such horrid bathrooms? Definitely DON'T WASTE YOUR...

This place reopened in a different location but in the same street. It used to be quite nice and successful. Now, it is not worth going. They have large TVs, furniture is awful and the quality of food has diminished substantially. Prices are high for what they offer. The employers behind the preparation area, seem gloomy and unexperienced young girls. We asked for a paella and it was not good at all. We really miss the nice and more...

Es un negocio con más de 20 años. En términos generales, sus platillos tienen buen sabor y un precio más o menos accesible. Su nuevo local es amplio y agradable. Después de varios años de no comer ahí, mi esposo y yo regresamos. El servicio no nos pareció muy bueno, los meseros estaban un poco distraídos. Sin embargo, lo que menos nos gustó fue que, al momento de pedir una mojarra frita para compartir, no nos indicaron el tamaño ni el peso. Si bien la carta dice que el precio es según el tamaño, no viene una mínima referencia que sirva de guía ni el mesero explicó los tamaños. Pedimos una mojarra grande, pero nos llevamos una gran sopresa cuando nos enviaron una mojarra gigante, imposible de comer entre dos personas. El costo de la mojarra fue de $410, equivalente al costo total de un caldo, cuatro quesadillas, tres tostadas y dos refrescos. Da la impresión de que te mandan la más grande a propósito para cobrar más y no nos pareció que estuviera espectacular. La mojarra es para compartir, al menos, entre cuatro personas. Por ley, los precios de los productos deben estar bien especificados en la carta, lo que no es así, en el caso de las mojarras.
