Would not go again. The hostes was not welcoming or even smiled. We sat by the entrance at a booth. We were comfortable, but then the sewer smell hit us. Owners knowing this is a problem in the area should be burning candles or figure out a way to make the smell less noticeable. Who wants to eat with sewer smell. Our waitress took our order and disappeared, never to be seen again. They have a lot of staff, but it seems that they are busy playing around and chatting with each other instead of making sure their customers are well taken care of. The musicians came to our table 6 times to offer their services before we even got our food. The food was decent, nothing special. We got chips and salsa for the table. I requested more chips 3 times, which never came....again, the staff is too busy chatting. I finally stated to one of the waiters that I had requested more chips 3 tiimes, how many more times do I have to ask? He brought them right away this time. I ordered esquite, the corn was a little chewy. The tacos de cochinita were pretty good. For the entrees, they were brought to the table, and the waiter ran away without asking us if everything was ok or if we needed anything. I ordered a chicken cutlet, which was fresh but no flavor whatsoever. The fries that came with it were very good. I had to shout to get someone's attention and ask for ketchup and mayo. He comes back with ketchup packets. I was not expecting packets in a restaurant like this. Then I had to ask for the mayo cause he forgot to bring it. We also ordered a steak, it had nice flavor but it did not taste fresh. I hope we don't get sick. They forgot to bring our rice. Then we got the bill, and there were items in there we did not order. Waiter apologized and corrected. I wonder if they make this "mistake" with every bill and people just don't notice. I had high expectations due to the reviews but was disappointed. I suggest you have live music as an included entertainment. Prices are high for the food and service. I don't mind paying any price if the service/food is excellent. Staff needs to be trained on real...

I recommend if you’re a tourist , that you avoid this place or visit with a local. We walked in yesterday around dinner time for a table of 2, the host told us we could only be seated on the 2nd floor- we agreed. She grabs menus and and sits us. A few moments later the waitress comes over & asks us what we want, we speak full Spanish so before we could order…She quickly grabs the menus and says that “these aren’t valid at this time ” and takes them away. She comes back a few minutes later and gives us a completely different menu . I notice it’s literally a 1 page menu and guess what? no drinks listed or the prices. At this point I look around and realize we are the only table seated & when asked for the alcohol menu that she just took away ( I had seen the prices on the old one) she says she has to ask the bartender the prices and that the menu for upstairs is different for downstairs. To give context I’m Mexican but live in the states, I know how things work for tourism & stuff, I’m not stupid and this isn’t my first time visiting CDMX. I say no thanks, we are out, and will go elsewhere. The waitress then asks me what specifically I wanted to order and that she can ask if the kitchen can make it, I politely declined. She wasn’t very happy and started to get a little rude…. but that was just off for me. Then the same guy outside the restaurant who kept bombarding us with things to eat once inside Tenampa had the nerve to follow us as we were leaving and asking questions about where we were going or and get pushy if we wanted to hire a mariachi for a quick song…. Este guey! 🤦‍♀️… BUT I recommend going to the tequila museum a few feet away. Completely different experience and won’t try...
