SUKAI — Restaurant in Mexico City

The actual food was enjoyable, sashimi was very fresh. Aside from that, can’t say anything else positive about our experience at Sukai. We were sat outside in the cold for two hours (service and food were extremely slow). As tables began to open up inside the restaurant, we asked to be moved inside because we were cold, but the hostess told us we couldn’t because the restaurant was closing soon (even though it was still over an hour until closing). Keep in mind the temperature outside was now in the 50’s (degrees Fahrenheit) and there were no heaters outside. When the server/busser finally brought out our main entrees, he moved our sake carafes to another table to clear room for the plates. Instead of pouring the carafes into our sake cups to make sure they were empty, he quickly rushed away with our carafes — we saw him pouring out the leftover sake inside...

Decidi dar otra oportunidad a sukai, y para ser honesta, quede aun mas decepcionada. El servicio es malisimo y tarda mucho la comida, se nota que si no eres RP no te toman en cuenta. La comida es malisima, mucha sal y mantequilla. La identidad de los alimentos fuera de la barra de sushi, no tiene sentido, en momentos quiere dar un toque francés con fusion japones, pero no encaja por el exceso de sal y mantequilla que te satura. Los yakimeshi no son ricos, son mejores los de teikit o cualquier otra cadena o restaurante que pienses. Las gyosas son en exceso saladas y falta de sabor, aun que se pidieron de cerdo llegaron de verduras, resalta la sal mas que el shitake. El rollo de ceviche fabuloso, en general la barra de sushi esta bien pero la cocina caliente es terriblemente asquerosa por el exceso de sal y mantequilla. Lo peor del restaurante es el servicio, se nota la falta de liderazgo, la falta de respeto hacia el comensal si no eres amigo del dueño que es extranjero. En conclusión, el restaurante es hermoso a la vista, pero, les recomiendo caminar un poco mas he ir a la roma que hay restaurantes mil veces mejores y mas delis.
