Our visit to The Cheesecake Factory this time was quite disappointing, even though we came in with high expectations.
On the positive side, the waiting list wasn’t too long, and the restaurant’s ambience was very pleasant. Our drinks arrived about 20 minutes after ordering, still acceptable. However, we were quite disappointed that no one informed us the hot chocolate came with whipped cream, even though we had specifically requested non-lactose milk. If this was mentioned on the menu, we apologize for missing it but if it wasn’t, the server should have clarified this, especially considering food sensitivities or allergies. For comparison, servers at other restaurants offering similar food & drinks always ask about allergies in advance.
The most disappointing part was that we waited nearly an hour for a single “Benedict” dish. I had already told my partner that our order might have been forgotten, but he still tried to stay positive, thinking maybe the kitchen was timing everything to come out together. However, three tables around us who arrived later had already received their food.
After we asked, the staff simply told us to wait. My dish finally arrived after almost an hour, but my partner’s hadn’t. A few minutes later, when we asked again, we were informed that our order had been mistakenly delivered to another table, and because of that, it had to be remade, meaning we had to wait even longer. This was especially frustrating because we came with a baby, and we had hoped everything would be served smoothly and on time. I understand The Cheesecake Factory is a busy restaurant, but mistakes like this should not happen.
When the second dish finally arrived, it was truly disappointing: cold, poached eggs rubbery and overcooked, fried chicken dry, potatoes hard and not fresh, and no maple syrup as described in the menu. When we gave feedback, the server simply said, “poached eggs are supposed to be like that.” That was shocking to hear. We’ve had egg benedicts many times, and as someone who has worked as a cook in a busy restaurant, we know exactly what a proper poached egg should be, unless the customer specifically requests it fully cooked. If this is The Cheesecake Factory’s standard of poached eggs, this menu item should honestly be removed. It’s just not acceptable.
We were given a 15% discount, but even that didn’t feel like enough. We wasted a lot of time, and ended up canceling our plan to try the desserts because we were already too disappointed.
This was my second time visiting The Cheesecake Factory during my stay in Mexico. My first experience at a different location was great, which made me want to try this branch but unfortunately, this visit was a...
Read moreAlmost every time I go they have all the products I am interested in having and their service is ok. With COVID-19 they seem to have regulations to protect you which I find very important. Keeping in mind things have changed because of COVID, though it is not an excuse to have bad service, they are taking very... very long to take your order which is really annoying. So lets say you got the blessing to have your order taken ... finally..... right?... but you want to order something else maybe a refill, well with my experience and what I could observe from the customers around me, you might as well go home get the drink from your fridge come back and still that would be faster than the waiter bringing that drink. They also did not have all the products I wanted this time. I give them three stars because they have gotten it a bit better other times, perhaps having the products I requested and an ok service. So it seems that you might get an awful wait, so if you want to go remember don’t go hungry maybe go there 2 hours before you might actually feel hungry, but who know maybe just maybe it will be faster, so maybe is just by chance and not by a standard of service what you walk into, so good luck. Their food is good so if your take the necessary precautions to not let the other things bother you hopefully you will enjoy...
Read moreThis place would be great if the managers ever set foot on the floor of the restaurant instead of hiding in their office. I have had issues with rude hosts, both male and female. No one ever checks the bathrooms. I complained once and the manager apologized and ran back to his office. 20 minutes later, no one had tended to the bathroom.
The service has improved here but sadly the bathrooms are poorly attended. I had not been here in over a year since the Satellite restaurant opened. It appears that there are fewer customers. Our waiter was very good!
Another step backwards. The waitress was horrible. A different waiter took our order, brought our drinks and never returned. Someone else brought our order and the waitress was no where to be found until I went to the entrance and asked for the manager. The manager listened to my complaints and promptly went back to his hiding place. I saw him hiding in the service area when I went to the bathroom. He did direct the other servers to check on us. On a positive note, the bathroom...
