Toks — Restaurant in Mexico City

The waitress was arrogant and showed us an attitude. She just walked by to drop the utensils, suggested hot chocolate (or any beverage that combos do not include!), did not provide the menu of the day until we asked for it. She just frowned when taking our order. I didn't see her smiles at all.

A family member ordered a combo which includes a glass of juice and a coffee, but he ordered jugó verde. When we paid, we found out that they charged the jugó verde. We asked how come, then they just told us the combo didn't include jugó verde. Then I asked what about the regular juice and coffee? Why didn't that waitress remind us when we ordered or before we asked for the bill?

The waitress was not helpful at all and did not appear to serve professionally. We won't go to any Toks restaurants again. Actually it was not the first time to experience it so unpleasantly. Last time it happened in Atizapan de Zaragoza. I don't think this chain restaurant would appreciate any customers. They just want to charge you more and the waiters get more tips out of the amount. We don't want to support a business which operates in a dishonest way. It's very shameful to have catering service at that...

One of the worst service I’ve ever experienced in Mexico. We came from Canada and knew very little Spanish. The waiter was very impatient as we try to translate what the menu was. The server dropped our utensils as he picked up our finished appetizers and did not even apologize. He gave us the bill the moment the entree was given to us.

There was also barely anyone at the restaurant.

The cashier also knew every little English and was also impatient with us trying to translate between Spanish to English.

The food was ok, but the service...

Me agrada la calidad de la comida, el sabor tradicional, sin tantos alimentos procesados, como salsas, pollo precocido o la clasica verdura congelada. Los cafes y en especial el te chai latte es delicioso; referente a sopas, los caldos son ricos y con lo minimo de grasa, el caldo tlalpeño, el consome ranchero y el consome con pechuga de pollo son muy ricos.

El agua del dia, es muy buena opcion. Tienen excelentes combinaciones.

Ensaladas: la ensalada san francisco y la ensalada de espinacas con arugula y tocino al balsamico son buenas, aunque esta ultima es de sabor mas fuerte.

Platos fuertes: en lo personal no me agradan los tacos de arrachera! En gral suelo pedir el menu del dia y suele ser muy bueno.

Postres, son ricas las crepas de cajeta y el pastel de zanahoria aunque algo empalagoso.

Tes, el de jengibre, te verde y limon es muy rico asi como el de menta.

ATENCION. HAY SUCURSALES QUE NO VENDE CERVEZAS

EN CONCLUSION, HAY MUY BUENA COMIDA EN GRAL, AUNQUE EL PRECIO SI ES UN POCO MAS CARO QUE COMER EN UN VIPS POR EJEMPLO. CONSIDERO QUE LA CALIDAD DE LA COMIDA LO VALE

LA SUCURSAL DE TORRES LINDAVISTA ES ALGO TARDADA POR QUE VA MUCHA GENTE, PRINCIPALMENTE FINES DE SEMANA.
