My friend and I went for lunch today and ordered the Lemon Red Tonkotsu each, and a Chico Orange Pollo. We both got lemonada and I ordered an Asahi?? beer. The lemonada was delicious with a nice sprig of rosemary in it. Small portion though for 60 pesos. The beer was great as most Asian lagers are. Then things went downhill. We were served the ramen and the server told us that the “meat” was not ready and would come out later. It never came even though we inquired twice more about it. Not “ready” a half hour after service. The Orange Pollo finally came out and it had great flavor but was so tough it was difficult to eat. I left most of it on the plate and didn’t want to carry out. We asked for the check and no apologies or offer to discount the incomplete meal were made. The server was very nice and she knew some English which was helpful for me. My lunch partner is Mexican so he navigated for me. It was a little over $800 pesos with propina. The broth was delicious and has great promise for a future meal. The ramen noodles were really like boxed thin spaghetti in the U.S. which I find to be the case in Mexico. Nothing special but fine. But, the lack of a complete meal with no apologies or discount was ridiculous. I went back later to look at the menu and the server asked if I wanted to be seated. I told her no, I just wanted to see what I had and I explained I was there earlier and didn’t ever get a complete meal, which she acknowledged. She was still so polite. I asked if the manager was there and she said yes, but he was in a very important meeting. I figured …. Well … he needs one. Tell him what happened and that I’m going to leave a not so great review since he can’t be bothered. I think I’m going to go back. With 42 people leaving glowing reviews this place had to have just had a ridiculously bad day???? Maybe I’ll get a complete meal...

Read moreI was honestly surprised by how good the vegan ramen was—super tasty and not greasy at all. I also ordered an appetizer that looked like chicken (but wasn’t!) and I loved it. It had a chunky, beef jerky kind of vibe. Highly recommend! Just make sure to arrive early, as the place is...
