This was an amazing overall dinner experience. Food/Drink - Excellent choices of fresh seafood. My wife got the blue shrimp and loved it. I got a pork dish and it was easily the best food I had in Punta Mita or Sayulita. The serving size was plenty as well. We also got the house margaritas and they were perfect. They weren't flavored or had any gimmicks. It was Tequila, lime and cointreau. They were strong and not sweet. Service - Abraham was amazing. He recommended all our dishes and nailed it. I even asked him if the Carnitas or the Cochinita and he just said that he would give me both! Atmosphere - It was an open air (covered) building on the water. Some seats were outside and uncovered but most were inside. They still had a nice decor. They brought over the fresh catch of the day and explained the options. There was some entertainment and the owner let me hang out with his bird. The prices were more than reasonable for the overall experience.

I absolutely fell in love with MINA! This dining gem exceeded all my expectations with its delightful ambiance and exceptional service. The waiters were incredibly lovely, going above and beyond to make our visit special. Their warmth and attentiveness added a personal touch that made the experience unforgettable. One of the highlights was the complimentary items brought to us by the chef. These unexpected treats were not only a generous gesture but also a testament to the culinary excellence at MINA. Every dish we tried was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere at MINA is both elegant and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a memorable meal. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out, this restaurant delivers an extraordinary dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in delicious cuisine and exceptional service!

I was expecting a tourist trap price and mediocre food after reading some of the reviews. I am glad my expectations were proven wrong. We thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, the service, the drink and most importantly, the food. We ordered the lobster in Chile, carnitas, tamales, whole snapper. The food needed a bit more salt but all were seasoned so you can just ask for salt. They provided an amazing free started which we didn’t expect. The homemade flour tortillas were so delicious and buttery. The tamales were seasoned well. Our server was very attentive! The rice and beans are really tasty! I highly recommend their tamarind smoothie as well! The bathroom was cleaned all the time! The prices were also reasonable. Their dessert tho could use more variety. But other than that, I do recommend visiting this place!

We were recommended this restaurant by a friend and were initially excited to try it, especially given its beautiful beachfront location. While the setting was lovely and the staff seemed attentive at first, our overall experience was deeply disappointing due to dishonest billing practices.

Our party was significantly overcharged — the receipt included numerous charges for bottled water we never ordered, listed under different descriptions, seemingly in an attempt to slip them past us unnoticed. Despite pointing this out immediately and asking for the charges to be removed, the staff ran our card with the incorrect total. After we insisted again, they re-ran the payment but added a 20% gratuity without our authorization.

We’ve since tried multiple times to resolve the issue with the restaurant, both on the day of the visit and through follow-up calls. Each time, we were promised a return call that never came. Eventually, we were told that they couldn’t process even a partial refund because they “don’t have the money.”

Unfortunately, what started as a promising outing turned into a frustrating and costly experience. We were charged twice incorrectly and have been left out of hundreds of dollars with no resolution, despite our repeated efforts. We cannot recommend this place based on...

I attended a large group dinner here (45+ people) and they set up a long table along the beach. It was very nice but we had a bunch of the people come up from the beach trying to sell us stuff during our dinner. Since it was a large group; it was a set menu for 80US dollars (tax and tip included and no drinks) a person. We had chips with fresh made salsa, guacamole, and cheese. There were shrimp tacos, chicken, vegetable lasagna, and dessert. The food was alright, some dishes were more flavourful than others. We found it overpriced fancy non-authentic Mexican food. You'll definitely be paying for the atmosphere, ambience and excess number of servers. At the beginning of the meal, the restaurant wanted to do one bill for the large group - we requested them to break the bills down to groups of 8 people which the restaurant agreed to. At the end when the bill came - there were two bills for the table which was a mess when everyone tried to pay their portion. For this alone, I wouldn't recommend it for a...

This place was hands down the best place we ate our entire trip, we ended up going twice! This place is pretty much right on the water and the views/sunsets are pretty amazing! We ended up getting a few free samples the first time we went there. The first was an amazing Tuna Tartare mixed with herbs & sesame oil on top of a slice of cucumber, The second was our desert, a scoop of coffee ice cream to me it had more of a sorbet texture, but still good none the less. Jon had the pork carnitas and I had the shrimp ajillo both were very delicious, but the shrimp was the winner for sure, changed my life lol. For drinks we had margaritas, which were free poured so you get to control how much goes in. They're not your typical north American slushy margaritas they're definitely very authentic. Our server was fantastic! Made great conversation and made us feel very much at home. The service was a bit slow which is my only real "complaint" but the free pour margaritas made up for it lol. Hands down this place is an...
