We went to try this place while visiting in Monterrey from McAllen, TX, because we saw a video from a popular influencer. In his review he mentioned several things that seemed standard but where not the case, such as complementary tuna tar tar and some complimentary mezcal when ordering some mezcal drinks. We had the jamaica and maracuya maezcalitas and those where great!! We ordered the chorreadas carnavaleras and they where bland, not much flavor. We also had the crab flautas and an asparagus cream with crab meat which also was pretty bland. This combined with the lack of home made salsas was just not what we expected from a top tier restaurant like this. The prices was pretty decent we paid $1,450 pesos for our dinner for 3, my wife my 7 y/o daughter and myself. We had an additional beer each as well. Need less to say we will propably not be returning and hope the management looks into upgrading their receipies soon cause El Rincon de Majahuitas is right by there and let me tell you that place was a flavor...

We ordered the shrimp with bacon. The shrimp was cooked well, too much bacon. The mango and butter sauce was the star of this dish, it could have come with just bread and I would have ordered that. This dish was way over priced for 5 pieces of shrimp.
We also ordered the enchiladas with octopus and shrimp in a mole sauce. Very tasty. The mole wasn't too overpowering and all came together very well. The enchiladas itself were tasty. This was a little pricey .
We shared the linguini with camarones. Wasnt bad but wasn't good. It leaked flavour in the cream sauce and pasta...
Read moreNice place and friendly staff. We had several appetizers: the shrimp aguachile with red chile de árbol sauce, fried tuna cubes chicharron style over a bed of guac with pico de gallo and tuna, shrimp and oxítona tempura with oriental alioli. The best was the seafood mix tempura. For dinner I tried the Mazatleca tostada, crab meat with shrimp and octopus over a bed of avocado and cucumber. Finally I had the Tambora enchiladas, shrimp and octopus enchiladas with Oaxacan mole sauce over a bed of rice. The enchiladas were good but the Mazatleca...
