Quinta Real — Hotel in Nuevo León

From the get-go check-in was okay, the staff throughout the hotel only speak okay English - at best, and conversation is often difficult. when I get to my room my water was already partially consumed and the seal was broken. I noticed that the paint was peeling from the walls and that there was significant amount of black mold in my shower and on some places on the walls. I also saw that there was some beverage of some sort spilled on my nightstand and other areas that it just wasn't really that clean. I had two conditioners and did not have lotion as well. The reading light over the bed would slowly flicker. On day 3 I found my window to be open and unlocked in a way that anyone could have climbed into. The iron had something burned on it. My dumb mistake i used it on my kayaking pants without looking.... This is room 208 on Feb 10-14, 2025.

I also had gone to the gym four times over my 3-day stay and only found there to be water there once. I even went to the front desk to ask for water. they said they'd send someone right away to refill the waters 45 minutes later I walked to the bar. They went to the front desk and got some water for me. I don't know why they didn't do that from the beginning.

Internet was very slow and I ended up just tethering to my phone most of the time. I opted into the prepaid breakfast and found out while dining with a colleague who didn't that it was a limited menu. I mentioned in Spanish and English that I had an allergy to peppers and they still served me food with them. Thank God that it isn't a serious allergy!

Overall it was an acceptable hotel stay. Nothing truly bad happened but nothing exceptional happened. I just expected more out of this caliber of hotel and found a great lack in attention to detail.

Si tienen la oportunidad de hospedarse, DESAPROVECHENLA! Fue una pesadilla (literal) decidir hospedarme ahí el día PREVIO a mi boda. Ilusamente quería hacer mi última noche con mis papás amena y bonita pero desde que entramos a la habitación, súper descuidada, con el tubo del clóset sin tornillos(o sea el tubo flojo, y claro que lo usaríamos para colgar el traje y vestido de mi mamá) y la cabecera de los respaldos como si un gato los hubiera rasguñado 😵‍💫 en verdad de no creerse, pero vendría lo peor. Alrededor de las 3 a.m. se comenzaron a escuchar gritos y llantos de una mujer acompañados de golpes durante más de 20 minutos. Baje a recepción para notificar y que pudieran hacer algo, y la única señorita no tenía idea de que hacer o cómo, aunque sea, tratar de “tranquilizar” a quienes nos estábamos quejando (otros 3 huéspedes a demás de mi). En eso, uno de mis proveedores me escribe (en ese horario seguían montando flores y decoración de mi boda) y me cuenta que hay un hombre drogado molestando a todo el que entrara al tocador de caballeros, desconozco y NADIE me supo informar si el tipo ese y el agresor de las habitaciones se trataba de la misma persona, pero aquí lo increíble es que el hotel no hizo NADA, no reportó a la policía lo que estaba pasando y tampoco pidieron a quienes estaban haciendo tal escándalo irse en ese momento. Total, obviamente ya no pude descansar, se seguían escuchando ruidos como si pegaran las puertas y el personal seguía sin hacer nada. En la mañana que me bañé, necesitaba secar mi cabello y otra sorpresa: no había secadora (cuando hasta en los hoteles más básicos tienen) al solicitarla tardaron 30 minutos y nunca me la llevaron, bajé a recepción y les dije que me la dieran por favor ahí, que ya no confiaba en subir y seguir esperando, en ese momento les comenté que iban a llegar las personas que me iban a arreglar (maquillaje y peinado) que por favor su ingreso fuera ágil (para eso se los estaba notificando con nombre e identificaciones de las dos personas). A los 20 minutos llegaron y les negaban el acceso, claro que bajé súper molesta a reclamar y decirles que que otra sorpresa y mal momento me esperaba por qué ya estaba cansada que no podían resolver NADA. La actitud de un tipo (ni recuerdo su nombre, pero lleva muchos años trabajando ahí no se como con esa actitud tan nefasta y prepotente) solo me ignoro y se metió a la oficina del lobby y le dejo el tema a sus compañeros. Al mismo tiempo que yo bajé por la secadora del cabello, estaba otro huésped cuestionando todo lo que había pasado por la madrugada y haciéndoles ver que pudo haber pasado algo más grave y ellos no tenían si quiera la más mínima idea de que hacer ni protocolos de seguridad, al hotel solo le importó su “imagen” y que no hubiera reporte que “manche” su reputación. En verdad, toda una pesadilla dormir ahí. Creo que en relación a los precios que ofrecen y calidad de habitaciones, para nada lo vale. La única “ventaja” es la ubicación, pero a un lado y enfrente hay más y mejores opciones.

Debo agregar que en cambio, el personal de banquetes, capitán del gran salón y la atención de los meseros fue excelente, si volvería a realizar un evento ahí pero JAMÁS me...

The service was ok. There was no one to take our bags to the room. The bellboy service and attitude was subpar, except for the last bellboy that took our bags at checkout, he was very kind and attentive. The first room we got smelled musty and as a matter of fact, the whole 4th floor smelled this way. The tub was dirty, it had hair and some dust. The room was, aside from musty, hot and humid when we got to the room. We were expecting to be greeted with a cool, fresh room. Then it took us a while to reach reception and they finally changed our rooms. The bellboy was indifferent and asked us if we wanted him to take our bags or if we could take them ourselves??!! The room we got was much better in terms of cleanliness but the the bathtub was old and rusty and the finishings were peeling off. It definitely needs...
