First of all, it was difficult to identify the car park entrance in the Friday evening traffic - the name of the hotel is very long, so the writing on their signs is very small... I was eventually met at the manual barrier to the car park by someone who didn't speak English (my bad, I don't speak Spanish) so I had no idea where to park, although he seemed to indicate level 4. Signs were poor, managed to find what seemed a suitable space, but had to carry a heavy bag up some stairs to find a lift. |Check-in was slow - no queue, just slow. |Room was superficially attractive, much more so than the bleached-out photos online had suggested. Bed & bedding were good, shower was OK though the water was only just hot enough (OK for me, my wife would have been unhappy). Very odd thing is that the hotel requires/expects guests to sleep on the left side of the bed - on the right side, which is where I prefer, there are no lighting controls. I had to fumble my way around the bed and use the torch on my phone if I needed to find anything.. why? |Blackout was very poor - floor length windows give a great view, but the curtains don't meet the floor. Also, there's a LED strip behind the bed and above the shower room which can't be switched off... again, why? |Room was noisy from traffic, despite being on the 14th floor. |Breakfast was good, but an expensive extra. |Would I stay again? No, not with so many other...

Beautiful hotel in Monterrey with gorgeous views! The staff is awesome! From the moment we arrived until we left we were treated like royalty. There is always 2-4 people around to help with anything. However, I did not give it 5 stars because the food was not good. The breakfast buffet had many options but less than half were actually good. For example the refried beans looked and tasted from a can. From an almost 5 star hotel I was expecting better. My entourage and I went for a late night cup of coffee and it was served to us cold. The spas bathroom was dirty. For a hotel like that I would think there'd be someone on top of keeping it clean before the next person goes in. ALSO BEWARE! they might try selling you a vacation package like they did to us. They offered us free breakfast buffet for the 3 of us and a free Swedish massage for 1 person . They said it was a 90-minute presentation but it ended up taking 3 hours. I didn't expect that from a hotel that is supposed to...
Read moreUsed to be an amazing hotel unfortunately now it sucks,
We hosted two events for clients and was the worst experience ever.
First night we hosted a cocktail travel agents at the atryum, the captain was great but they were short in staff and they urgently need training!
Next day we had a workshop running all morning, outside temperature of 34º and air conditioned to the ball room never worked. maintenance crew completely overwhelmed and never fixed the problem, they completely ruined our event. Lady from Banquet department so rude and helpless, she basically showed up once and then disappeared.
Thank ladies room next to the ball room, broke and flooded, we had to send guests to the restrooms at 4th floor.
The only person that helped and was always supportive was Jesus Gonzalez the captain, he was always proactive and helpful at anytime.
And last but not least, air conditioning in the room did not work properly as well... what a nightmare!!!
What a pity, they used to be one of my favorite hotels...
