Update: An auto-response to my review tells you how they care,correction, how much they actually don’t care about their customers!

We had a reservation for a group of friends on our visit to Oaxaca but this experience was terrible. I might add, the only bad food experience we had in Oaxaca! First I have to say,the octopus appetizer my husband and I shared was delicious. It went down hill after that, I ordered the seafood dish, same as the husband & wife next to me, theirs both came out cold, so they sent them back to be reheated. When the waiter returned with their plates I asked about my dinner, he said he’d get it. My husband ordered the steak, which was like rubber, he could not even chew one bite of it, he asked to have one cooked properly so he could eat it, they took it back and brought him a new one, and I again asked where my meal was. The new steak was the same as the first, he was unable to chew it (two others in our group tried a bite and could not chew it either!) My dinner never came out and another person in our party never got her dinner either. It was not that busy, but even if it was, there is no excuse for this! They took the two missing dinners and the steak off our bill, since none of us ate any dinner, which did not make up for the three hours we spent there and...

What an unexpected treat! From the outside, it doesn’t give much away, but step inside, and you’re greeted with a beautiful open-sky Spanish courtyard—such a great vibe.

We kicked things off with the fried plantains with mole and their signature Ensalada Bacanora, which totally lived up to the hype. Both were fresh and packed with flavor—definitely a great start.

For the main dishes, we had the taco de lengua and the polpo over black rice. Both were incredible! The taco was tender and flavorful, and the polpo was just perfect—the black rice added a nice touch.

To top it all off, we shared the panceta de chocolate for dessert, and wow, what a way to end the meal!

The service? Fantastic—attentive without being overbearing. And the overall vibe of the place just made everything feel special.
