It is crazy to me that this bar + snacks location isn’t listed on any of the top 10 lists for Oaxaca. Without any shadow of a doubt it should be. We began with a round of cocktails & snacks, thinking we would move on to another location afterwards for dinner. Nope. The snacks arrived, and they were very generously portioned and… incredible. We have been traveling in Mexico for the past six weeks, going to local legends, popular hideouts and fancy restaurants — and the snacks at this restaurant were by far the freshest and most delicious dishes we have had by far. Tostadas de atún, guacamole, sándwiches de jamón serrano and the BLT… we just kept ordering and being delighted by what arrived. Truly spectacular and 100% recommendable....

If your goal is good and authentic mezcal this is not your place. My wife and I dropped in on our first day, the staff were incredibly nice and walked us through the tasting process and such. We also purchased a bottle, which was later found out was incredibly overpriced. As we continued our trip and found the higher quality mezcalerias we learned we had made an expensive mistake in thinking this was a true mezcaleria. They specialize in mezcal and their cocktails are delicious - they are not stingy with the alcohol they put in their drinks. German was our mixologist and he is awesome, friendly, and very talented at what he does - he’s created a lot of the drinks on the menu and they’re all very well balanced.
