El Espacio: Cocktail, Mezcal & Agave Bar — Restaurant in Oaxaca

El Espacio Bar is more than just a bar it's a lovely space to meet and socialize with people, to share stories and experiences, it's colourful, classy and super cool, it's a vibe and it keeps in with the sprit of the city of Oxcaca with beautiful murals on the walls that tells you a story and has depth and meaning in the art. All the art is local and as is the mezcal, I do not drink and this isn't a problem, I was treated to a delicioso mock tail drink made by a highly skilled mixer. El Espacio is beautifuly designed and very well though through, the staff are awesome and the drinks are well priced, it's in a great location as there are restaurant nearby and your pretty much in the heart of the city, the staff do understand English which is a bonus if your Spanish isn't up to scratch and if your in luck you could bump into the owner Glen who is English speaking and is an amazing story teller, and has a lot of local knowledge of the city and mexico in general, I can't recommend this place enough, it's a must if you are visiting Oxcaca, I'm planning to come back with...

El Espacio is a great friendly little bar in a central location. It is well decorated, taking into consideration local artists and materials. the decor also adds a fun element to the place. There's a range of cocktails as well as mezcal and beer. Ive been several times and always had lots of fun. There are special event nights too, such as open mike comedy. Absolutely loved this place. Cozy and intimate with a melodic electronic soundtrack. But most importantly, the cocktails were superb! My favorite was the Suspiro with their smooth house Espadin Mezcal. Second favorite was the Terruño. The Mezcal is super smooth and flavorful without being overly smokey. The bartender was also super friendly and knowledgeable about Mezcal, but didn't speak much English, so speaking Spanish would help! Don't miss out and come...
