If you're into really well done coffee, Gattó is your spot. They get their beans locally from mutiple sources. Max personally roasts them regularly on-site (they even host roasting classes). The beans are fantastic and fresh. And the barista skills are amazing - try a Flat White. The baked goods are super good. Nayeli makes them and she is incredibly talented at her craft. I highly recomend getting something with your café. Nayeli and Max are some of the nicest people you could ever want to meet. You can tell they have figured out how to make a world class coffee and make a space to slow down and enjoy it. They are really special and have created something special as well.

Oaxaca #6 (cafe/bakery #2): found on GMaps/walking around. Came in due to all the positive reviews. Ordered a pour over (v60 $75) and got to choose between three different beans. Settled on the Mixteca, Caturra, lavado (although the Geisha smelled great). Coffee was very tasty and well brewed. Everyone at the cafe was super friendly. Only knocks were the vibe/ambiance is quite average IMO, and while they accept CC they didn't share there was a ~4% transaction fee. I think I'd come back, but there are so many great cafes in Oaxaca I'd like to try first.

This is a very solid Coffee store, which you don't expect, when you just walk by, because the café is still in a setup phase. The owner also works as roaster and is a very skilled Barista. The self roasted beans are also the ones that are extracted in this place. I tried two different roasts and both were amazing in taste. Also the owners were really nice and friendly. I just have to deduct one star because the beans I bought were way to expensive. Cappuccino 7 out of 10

My first and last visit. After an exhausting morning I was looking forward to sitting down with a good coffee, absorbing the positive atmosphere, and recharging. After ordering my coffee and paying, I sat down at a table, I was the only customer. While waiting for my coffee the owner came over to my table and abruptly told me that after I receive my coffee I was to leave. She said the seats and tables are only for customers that order food. I have never experienced this at a place that advertises out front that it is a "Coffee Shop". Never experienced this in the US, Canada, Europe, and Mexico. Since i had already paid for my coffee I waited for it, and then went to the park. The Americano was very ordinary though they charge a premium price. I will happily get my...
