Wow wow wooowwww!!! This food is blowing my mind.

Ordered: a coyote mezcal (it’s damn smooth and coyote is the agave type) and a tecate light.

Enmoladas. (Go with the cheese) great mole plate with tortilla wrapped cheese or chicken.

Aguachile Pescado Ahumado - (not really the aguachile dish you’d expect but it’s a beautiful and amazing dish with a smoked fish served cold in an amazing sauce. )

  • update: I couldn’t leave without trying the octopus. What a great dish! Whole grilled tentacle served with grilled veggies and a cold serving of “wheat ceviche” everything what cooked perfectly, not one vegetable was under or over cooked. I did ask for extra white habanero sauce.

Whoever is in the kitchen on June 2nd, 2022, you guys are a godsend.

I’ve been to other way more expensive restaurants like “el destilado “ that charge wayyy to much for what you get. And this already beat it by 10 times. You’re the lucky one if you...

Food was very good with a lot of flavour but it's worth noting the portions are small for the price. A bigger issue for me, though, were scam/service issues, with the second one (bill manipulation) being a deal breaker for me.

One, they forgot our drinks and didn't remember until five minutes after bringing us our food. And two (and the big mark against) was that they charged higher prices on our bill than were on the menu. Just small enough I wasn't even sure, thinking maybe I'd missed that, eg, ordering chicken instead of cheese for the enmoladas incurred a surcharge I hadn't noticed.

I double checked, though, and they had in fact put higher prices on our bill than were on the menu. Called on it they fixed the issue with more of a shrug than an apology but seriously, guys, that's pretty low and the sort of thing you don't expect from a supposedly higher end place (with portion...

I feel so lucky to have found this gem of a restaurant. So much care and attention goes into every aspect of the food and experience. For example, ice is served in a simple clay bowl. "Chips" are flat handmade super thin tortillas. I ordered the tacos platter and was blown away by the presentation and taste. My god, these people have reinvented the simple taco into something equally tasty but altogether unique! After driving six hours from the coast, finding a place with amazing food x zero pretense, was truly the dream in my head come true. I suspect this 7 month old establishment will need a reservation to get into the next time i visit Oaxaca, though i selfishly hope not. Bravo to everyone on staff for putting your heart and soul into something bigger than...

This was literally the last place I stopped before heading to the airport. My hotel was just down the street so I was constantly walking past their window that was filled with all of these amazing looking pastries so I knew I had to have one before I left. I stopped by to grab a cappuccino to go and while that was being made, I enjoyed their brownie with ice cream. My server told me they were all out of vanilla ice cream but they had rosemary and star and ice cream, which I thought sounded like a weird combination, but YOLO. It ended up being the most delicious flavors ever! I also grabbed a peanut butter and chocolate cookie to go, which I ate at the airport while waiting for my plane.

Smart looking, casual, unpretentious, taco+ restaurant smack dab in the middle of the tourist zone. They serve really good, inexpensive food! Plus our two servers were pleasant and attentive despise the fact me and the girlfriend have the Spanish verbal skills of toddlers. We enjoyed bottles of delicious Peanut Butter Stout, oniony guacamole, chicken tacos (excellent!), and barbacoa tacos (a bit sweet), all for a super reasonable price. In our 6 nights in Oaxaca, this was our second favorite restaurant (Levadura De Olla was #1). Highly recommended if you're looking for an excellent, unpretentious, quick, locally sourced, meal, in a relaxed yet modern environment.
