This morning I ate breakfast here and it did not meet my expectations. I discovered the restaurant last year in December. I bragged about the food, especially that it was served hot and freshly cooked as advertised. Today the food was lukewarm and the coffee was tepid, even the creamer wouldn't dissolve in it. I asked the employee to have my coffee reheated and he looked so puzzled. After waiting over 10 minutes I got up to ask about it, the cup was still at the pick-up counter. I told them about it and the lady too looked puzzled. 5 minutes later I got my coffee, by this time I had finished eating my breakfast and most of the croissant. I love croissants but this one was very chewy and somewhat stale. I ate everything because I was hungry. It started off with the cashier not having enough change, he was 20 pesos short telling me he would bring it to me, to have a seat. In this successful and busy restaurant? He never did come by and I had to get up and ask him about my 20 pesos as I left. The food looked good but it definitely was not made to order. I don't often complain about restaurants, but I was very...
Read moreIts not a typical restaurant, you have to wait to be allowed to enter via a yellow chain then seated. I was given a menu and told by the hostess, "you have to order at the register." I could not see yhe register from the corner I sat at.
Basically, you take a seat, peruse the menu. Walk to the register counter, order and pay for your food like a fastfood restaurant, at this point you are asked to tip. You return to your table with a number tag. Your meal includes a soft drink or coffee.
Once the food is delivered, servers DO NOT return to see if you need anything else. If you order french fries, you only get one packet of ketchup and chose small one ounce shot cups of salsas or limes for your food, but not all of them, you get one napkin.
The food was decent, but not...
Read moreThe food was good, nothing amazing. I had the gringa al Pastor. Where I have a real issue with this establishment is trying to order and pay. It took the cashier at least 15 minutes to place my friend's order. Why? Who knows. But whatever was going on created a long line-up behind. Also, there nothing complicated about the order -- tacos and a coke. There was no issue placing my order, but trying to pay for it was another story. I paid with card which is in my Apple Wallet. The charge showed immediately. However, the cashier claimed that their bank did not approve the transaction. I ended up paying cash and will have to call my bank in Canada. First time I had an issue with my card anywhere in Mexico. Bottom line, the food is not bad, pay with cash. Sorry no...
