It's pretty much in a narrow hallway, very near Sanchez Pascuas market. The lady taking our order spoke very clearly and slowly, making it easy to understand her and making us think she deals a lot with the neighborhood gringo community- very thoughtful on her part. The take-out tlayuda with tasajo was very pleasant and a nice treat. The website has all the contact information, including a full list of what's on offer. Everything is quite reasonable. It's just up the street from us, so we will definitely be going by again when we feel peckish in the evening. One of my favourite economical eateries for evenings in the city. The couple that runs the place treats us like family, and the cramped space amplifies the effect now that they have indoor bar-style seating. Before it was purely a take-out joint, just a charcoal grill at the entrance to their house, but now they have indoor seating lining the narrow entrance. The only thing other than the narrow seating that i expect might surprise people new to Oaxaca is the watery guacamole with ground seeds (often squash seed flour) added to the avocado. My favorite place for a quick but tasty dinner in Oaxaca. Best Tlayudas I’ve eaten here and I’ve tried a lot. Tacos are great too. Price cannot be beat and comes with guac and salsa. I go several times a week. The owners are also very friendly. After a long day it is a nice ritual to get some tlayudas to go and chow down at home. They are filling but I feel good after eating since they are not greasy. Highly recommend to stop by and you’ll find yourself wanting to go back night after night. I like the mixed tlayuda and tacos, as well as the cow head Mon-Weds to change it up. Will the be place I miss most when I leave....
