Trigo Verde Sucursal Trujano — Restaurant in Oaxaca

Trigo Verde is a really good vegetarian restaurant, I was very happy to have found it during my stay in Oaxaca as it is a real relief to be able to order without having to worry that I might have accidentally ordered meat. The space is really cool, the staff was very nice (they always stayed patient although it must be a real torture listening to me trying to order in Spanish), they've got a changing special of the day and prices are very good throughout. I have been vegetarian for 23 years and the vegetarian burger I had here might have been the best I've ever had, not trying to replicate meat but just working with the natural flavours of a meat-free diet....

Trigo Verde is an Oaxacan staple for veggie food and they recently opened this new branch. The space in green, bright and clean. The food is always flavourful and very reasonably priced. There are plenty of options for vegetarians and recently they have added more vegan options also.

Almost all the produce used for their food is prepared in their kitchen (hummus, burger steaks, pastor "meat", soy chorizo, chiles, salsas...). You can also buy their produce from the store.They also have delicious vegan pastries.

Really recommend this place not just for vegans and vegetarians but for everyone looking to have "green options"...

Very tasty and cheap vegetarian restaurant. Visited one lunch time and had the set menu but the vegan option. As a veggie place they are aware of what vegan means (no cheese/dairy or egg contrary to what some omnivorous places think) so were able to adapt the menu for me. Unfortunately this meant I couldn’t have the dessert but it still worked out a bargain for a decently filling lunch ($65). Would recommend stopping in for lunch if...
