Big Lobster — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

We were always eating in front of this restaurant at the smash burger and we noticed that it’s was most of the time empty but still decided to give it a try since i was craving lobster, when we arrived there was a plate oustide with 3 sizes of lobster tails to show us wich size we wanted to order, so we ordered and after 20min it just popped into my head that i saw the server go in the back with the plate that was outside, and he bring it back in front, i asked just for fun to my parnter to go chek if he did not get me the one that was sitting outside lol and you know what i was exactly right 😂 he was about to serve me a lobster tails that was sitting outside for i don’t how long and how many day saying that this was fresh even worst we touch it and it was frozen and melting since its 28 degre outside so just think how many time this piece was defrost and then frozen back again, then now i checked the reviews and thank god we left this place before eating it, i swear they will food poison someone (if its not already done) this is dangerous and will never put my...

One of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to. Normally I don’t write bad reviews but this place earned it. Waited nearly 1 hour and a half for our food. When we asked about our food taking so long and they proceeded to say that it was our fault for ordering the Taquiza plate. That’s right they blamed us. The place also had an ugly smell and do not appear to be very clean. There was a good stretch of 45 minutes where the waiters avoided eye contact with us because they were so behind on orders. The kids plate came out first about 30 mins in. My plate came in about 1 and 20 mins in. And finally the vegetarian dish came out for my sister at about an 1 hour and 30 mins. Never been so disappointed. Not even an apology from anyone. If I coupled give zero stars I would. Overall the food was very bland. The Taquiza plate was very dry. My wife got food poisoning the other night so I went to get some take out food and kind of just splurge the bit of cash we had leftover since we’re flying out the next day. Decided to get something light so I got her a chicken breast with rice and some veggies. The chicken breast was fine, although salted a little more than it should’ve been but fine nonetheless. The problem was the steak. I got a 400 peso steak and it came out rare, (I ordered medium rare) and that’s not a huge problem again cuz I can eat rare steaks BUT it was so oily and 40% of the steak was just fat that would no doubt give myself some diarrhea the next day.
