I am kind of disappointed with myself for not taking pictures of the food but believe me when I say that it was really good. So I was walking by these place and I was hungry so I decided to give it a try since I saw a PASTOR TROMPO and it looked pretty good from where I was, let me tell you that my experience at the restaurant was pretty darn good from the get go. Immediately as I was walking in,one of the servers got to me with a menu in hand already making suggestions about food (guess he saw me looking at the PASTOR) so I told him that I’m a Torta lover and obviously wanted to try their Pastor torta. He offered me some drinks which I wasn’t feeling like drinking beer for some reason so I got a liter of Hibiscus 🌺 water instead which it was pretty tasty and refreshing. When the torta got to the table I was surprised of the size of that thing because it was a large size torta, the bread was soo soft like if it was just coming out of the oven, the seasoning of the pastor is one of the best I’ve EVER tried in my life and I got my share of Pastor meat from all over Mexico and this one was unique for sure. I didn’t think that I was going to be able to finish it but I did due to being a great torta. I’m definitely coming back for more but next time I’ll try some tacos, the Queso fundido with Pastor(obviously)and chorizo or the Nopales with Queso Panela. The service was great and if you happen to stop by ask for JOSÉ wich I believe is the GM there because his service was outstanding. Great job guys, keep up the good work!!!👏🏽 You just got a new...

Ever so slightly off the beaten path, this small family restaurant was awesome. Serving traditional Mexican fare, the menu is quite wide. Prices were very reasonable. The staff spoke a little English but were very friendly and knew more than enough to make the ordering and transactions easy. We didn't try everything on the menu, but the house special hot pot (apologies for not knowing the exact term) comes out in a pumice mortar which is smoking hot. In ours, the 'pollo' or chicken iteration, there was chicken, beans, cheese, grilled spring onions, and cactus in a sumptuous sauce. I can't tell you how it's made, but it's served on corn tortillas. We also ordered a fajita style dish, an assortment of tacos, and an excellent queso fundido, which sounds like "fun cheese" but is actually cheese fondue. But it was fun. And delicious. Non-alcoholic drinks came out in mugs the size a giant would use. Beer was cold. Restaurant was clean. We will definitely put this great place on our "must...

Did you see the terrible food pictures from Korean customer 김현수 in previous review? Cleary, the management does not care. Why else would they allow food that bad to be served? Who thinks that food is appetizing?! Also, customers received terrible service. Workers must look at tourists and think-- "Who cares if we treat them bad and rip them off, we will never see them again anyway. Best to suck as much money from them as possible!" That's why the customers got their change in all little coins-- because the workers wanted the customers to give up and leave their change as a tip. Why would you expect customers to tip when the food and service was so terrible? Pure greed.

I for one will not come here after reading their review. The food looks gross, the pics speak for themselves. And, their service is rude. Why eat at a tourist trap? If you want tourist customers, you better treat them better. Unacceptable. There are lots of friendlier and better taco...

WOW. Our last dinner in PDC and couldn’t have been better. Luis was simply AMAZING, I actually want to take him to work with me; he has an incredible passion about customer care and makes you feel so welcomed and appreciated at all times. His recommendations were on point and everything that we tried was just PERFECT. Mezcalitos were absolutely delicious, Guacamole was out of this world; perfectly seasoned and FRESH. Tacos al pastor/Chorizo/Alambres/Gobernador, everything was scrumptious. Luis and the whole crew take care of you like nowhere else. I am leaving deeply satisfied from Playa and cannot wait to come back to El Chuletón. We’re having breakfast tomorrow morning at Laura No Está from the same owner, recommended by Luis. I wish you nothing but the best! Thank you for your food and your incredible staff! PD: thank you for my Carajillo, I’ll never forget the gesture.

Excellent tacos. Had every taco type except the mushroom one. All are good but my favorites are queso quemado (grilled panela cheese), chuleta (pork belly), arrechera (skirt steak), chorizo (Mexican sausage), and especial de chuleton. Then bistec (beef) and costilla (pork rib). Last is pollo (chicken), not cause it's bad but it's just boring compared to the others. The pastor gets its own special rating because at first I had the precarved pastor that had sat for a while and without pineapple and that was just ok. But then I saw the owner firing up the rotisserie and ordered another one with the charred pastor carved fresh off the spit and this time I asked to him to include shaved pineapple. This latter taco to which I added onions, cilantro, and squeezed lime was incredible. The sopa de haba con nopales (bean and cactus soup) is also excellent.
