Los Aguachiles — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

We rediscovered Los Aguachiles on our most recent visit to Playa del Carmen. We ate there years ago, shortly after the restaurant opened. Back then, they weren't able to serve alcohol and were disorganized, although the food was good.

We ended up eating several meals there on this trip and stopped by for a cocktail one evening. The food was excellent, we tried several different items from the menu, grilled shrimp, fish taco, seafood rice, calamari and "Rock & Roll shrimp. From our experience a lot of the menu items are a bit different from the standard seafood items you might see at other restaurants, which was nice. We enjoyed their margaritas and a unique mezcal cocktail with cucumber.

Que Rico!!!! Wow! We LOVE this restaurant and cannot rate it more highly from the delicious food to the local IPA beer to the wonderful mezcal cocktails to the ambience and finally to the service! This place it's one of the best fish tacos place in Playa del Carmen. They have delicious sauces, amazing fish tacos, and as a healthier option lettuce wraps which is really healthy low calorie meal. I had lunch here every day for an year that's how good this tacos are. I am their biggest fan. The prices are ok as well, the ambiance its decent.
