We booked a 3 bedroom condo through Playacar Vacation rentals. Our group was composed of Hubby and Me, My parents, my 2 kids and a teenage nanny.||||I booked this location because I was interested in transitioning from an all-inclusive to a more independent lodging in Playa. I was not disappointed!||||The condo complex was very well maintained, and the unit was lovely. We were there just at the beginning of the high season, so they did do a bit of work at the bar around the pool while we were there. No big deal--the little footbridge was closed for one day. There was also a wedding party there during our stay. Not disruptive at all, and honestly, we were creepers a bit!||||If you're willing to walk a bit, everything is within reach. There's a convenience store out at the corner with beer, snacks, etc. Prices weren't typical American jacked up 7-11 prices. You can also comfortably walk to either the Chaudrai (sp?) or Super Walmart if you're doing a serious grocery shop. We did this several times. Both stores have taxi stands, so you can get a ride back to the condo with your purchases for $6. Totally worth it! I'd say the Chaudrai was more reasonably priced.||||We had 3 BR and 2 baths in our unit, plenty for our group. We were also lucky to have some beach umbrellas and blankets in the unit. It also featured wifi and voip phone services. On the downside, there was a Bosch washer/dryer combo that never did seem to dry the clothes--and the cycle was 4 hours plus. Also, we found out that the oven was not working, but the stovetop was. No biggie--we did eat most of our dinners out, and the condo did have the grill available by reservation if we chose to use it. When it's crowded, this might not be an option. In the 7 nights we were there, 2 were reserved by the wedding party.||||The maid service made the condo feel much closer to an all inclusive. Even though she basically just swept up each day, straightened up, and brought fresh towels, it was an excellent level of service.||||This condo is at the very end of Playa, so it's pretty quiet, yet close enough to walk to restaurants if you choose. The beach is wide open, and there are no palapas. There are chairs available to drag down to the beach, and the staff will help you pull them back at the end of the day. We had the opportunity to speak with several condo owners around the pool, and all were really positive about the property.||||Would I buy a condo here? Probably not, (but only due to all the hoops I'd jump thru) but I'll certainly take advantage and rent here as often as possible. The prices for the high season here are cheaper than July at the Jersey Shore, and I'd much rather drop out in Playa than Ocean City, NJ||||We arranged our own hotel transfer--not sure if the condo offers this, but it's not hard to arrange on your own. You could also hop the bus from Cancun airport to Playacar, and the walk would be minimal from the bus station. I think I paid about $150 for a private van. Would have done the $9US bus service if my mom were a bit steadier on her feet, but she has health issues, so the private transfer was totally worth it. They took us right to the Playacar Vacation Rentals office for check-in, and then even shuttled us the 1 block back to the property to drop us off with...

This was about my fifth stay in this unit. It's becoming a yearly event for our "girl's trip." This time I stayed a bit longer than usual - 2 1/2 weeks - and spent Thanksgiving there. The unit has a wonderul kitchen, great for making breakfast/lunch. The location is an easy walk in to town for dinner, which we looked forward to every night. The balcony is quite large, like an outdoor living room, with the prettiest view of the sea and Cozumel within sight. Watching the sun come up over the sea each day on the balcony with coffee is so pretty and the view at night of the twinkling lights of Cozumel is very pretty. There was plenty of room for everyone to lounge around in the unit. The pool area and beach are fantastic. The decor is very charming with tasteful Mexican and Carribean accents. There was a great Thanksgiving dinner in the pool area where everyone brought dishes to share - my first Thanksgiving on a beach! This place is beginning to feel like a home away from home. I can't say enough about the beautiful setting and how comfortable it is to settle in there. I have watched Playa del Carmen grow over the years to a real world-class vacation destination while maintaining its charm. There is a wonderful free jazz festival every year at this time and also Taste of Playa which had over 20 restaurants participating this year. Combine that with great food, great weather, interesting day excursions, beach massages along with just relaxing and you couldn't ask for...

This was the perfect condo! It was clean and great A/C (which is great because it was so hot and humid in August). August is the time for seagrass so we did not spend mich time on the beach, but there were tons of shells and soft, beautiful sand. The pool has a swim up bar, and a couple different levels for children too. The front office was very accommodating. They even arranged for a doctor to come to our room to give us COVID-19 tests before we flew back. This condo is close to many wildlife. It is also right next to 5th Avenue which is a large shopping 'strip'. Full of bars, restaurants, vendors, artwork, jewelry, candy, live animals, plenty of places to buy souvenirs, and so much more.

Our family of 8 really enjoyed our stay at this 3 bed, 2 bath condo. It’s right on the ocean with a nice pool plus swim up pool bar. Xaman-Ha condos is centrally located near the Cozumel ferry with has one resort plus shopping mall between the property and the busy 5th Ave. Filtered water is provided along with beach towels and even some beach and pool toys. We would definitely come here again.

Perfect spot close to 5th ave. And close to Playa Car. Just a walk through the ruins and you’re there Awesome little swim up bar and lots of sun chairs. Staff is friendly and kind. All condo units are a bit different so worth coming back to explore various rooms Recommend this place for those who want to get away from resorts and do their own thing.
