San Pedro Tortas and Cemitas — Restaurant in Puebla

A “must visit” for all travellers to Cholula. The cemitas were fantastic and very affordable, made by very passionate people.

One of the nicest experiences we have had visiting Mexico. Antonio spoke perfect English and explained so much about the cemitas, including allowing us to taste the carne enchilada and a Mexican salad green that goes on the cemitas before we ordered.

We ordered a Flor de Jamaica drink (hibiscus) and horchata, as well as a Milanesa pollo (breaded and fried chicken) and a carne enchilada.

Antonio also showed us a sweets store a few shops up that his mother owns, and explained a number of different traditional sweets from Puebla and surrounds. We will remember this...

En verdad no vayan a ese establecimiento pues la persona que está preparando no tiene nada de higiene. Esas no son cemitas, esas cemitas son la vergüenza de Puebla. Si quieren comer unas cemitas deliciosas, busquen de buenas referencias. Ese establecimiento deja mucho que decir y en lo personal no son cemitas esas cosas, yo no estoy dispuesta a regalar el dinero en esas cochinadas. Son unos hombres inútiles... los que están atendiendo, especialmente uno que tiene lentes y es un señor...
