Lovely spot with a couple rough edges.
Salmon toast: Nice, but small portion. The bread is the star here.
Monte cristo: good, not great. Huge, with layers but a weird almost soapy flavor throughout as though something is a bit off. The cheese is a misfire. The ham is barely there. The bread is good, not great. Avoid.
Lemon tart: From the attached coffee shop. Excellent.
Marshmallows: this is for every guest, but it's over sterno which they scrape in a molcajete. It's a good concept but it's a little weird. They should switch to charcoal or something similar. Sterno is kinda smelly and weird.
Drinks: Salmoncito is great. They could use a few more brunch drinks.
Service: waited 25 minutes for drinks. Slow and not very attentive but friendly.
It's a cool spot worth a visit, but it is priced beyond its quality of food and service. Still,...
Read moreWe came to this place twice in a row. Yesterday, we LOVED it. The food was amazing. But today, the food quality dropped a lot for some reason - you can see it clearly just by looking at the color difference of this acai bowl. First one from yesterday, second one from today. So much milk/water in it than Acai itself today. We also ordered the same taco twice, it was also much better yesterday. Today the food didn’t taste fresh at all (the taco bread felt like it was heated up from a leftover)
We loved this place so much yesterday, so I’m disappointed that our experience today wasn’t matching and their food quality differs depending on which day we go.
P.S. the ambiance of the place and the service from the staff were still...
Read moreLovely house in downtown Puebla. Prices are a bit up but it's worth every peso. The food is incredible (good ingredients and plates were abundant) and the service outstanding. It was just very hard to keep a conversation going due to the music volume. I understand if their strategy is to attract the young hipster crowd and market it as brunch, but the clients that day were all families. So I don't quite get it! I could barely speak to the people around the table without having to speak up. I'm Mexican, I understand we like loud music, but in weddings not for breakfast. I don't want to exaggerate, just say that I would turn the...
