Lauro's — Restaurant in Puerto Morelos

WOW! Went to this place all three nights that my boyfriend and I were in Puerto Morelos and all I can say is WOW. Fantastic live music…I mean, seriously fantastic, undiscovered talent. This is the place to go for drinks and live music. Especially if you like classic rock. We never tried the food so I can’t vouch for that but I can say that the servers were all very good. Friendly, fast, and overall just a super pleasant atmosphere. I don’t know why this place doesn’t have more reviews. It’s right in the hotel zone and very centrally located. If my boyfriend and I are fortunate enough to be able to travel to Mexico again soon, we will definitely be spending time in Puerto Morelos and at...

It's not called Lauros anymore, the new name is LIVE. I didn't eat so can't comment on food. The service was quite good and the waiter spoke decent English and was friendly and reasonably quick with the orders. Atmosphere was good with an open air feeling. The canned music was at a decent level and talking across a table was easy. I didn't stay for the live band on Saturday so no comment Price was reasonable at 60 pesos a beer. Tourists be aware of overcharging your bill. We saw a discrepancy on the amount of drinks ordered. My initial assumption was that it happens often because the bar quickly offered “check the security cameras” and adjusted just one menu item in question. When we asked about the second discrepancy on the receipt, they denied it and we didn’t want to create a scene.

Band was really good so tip them but maybe buy drinks...
