Delicious meals! We have been to this restaurant 4 times, and every time the meals have been absolutely tasty! We love the idea of choosing your own ingredients to have made into your meal. They have meals to choose from on the menu, but they also have a section where you can choose your ingredients: (you circle your items) -Rice or type of noodles -Vegetable type -Toppings/ garlic/ginger etc -Meat type -beef/chicken/ shrimp etc -Sauce- peanut/curry, soy sauce etc Each ingredient is worth a certain amount of pesos….sauce is no charge. You can make up a delicious meal for around 200 pesos, and it gives you a good sized bowl of food. I love the shrimp/prawns in mine. They give 6-7 of them for 67 pesos.! We walked by a few times before finally going in, because the seating is kind of hidden and it’s very unassuming. So glad we finally went in, because the music is good, the staff are nice and speak English, the food is great, and it has a great atmosphere. I had a Pina Colada here, and it was probably the best one I’ve ever had.. very smooth and well blended. It is definitely our...
Read moreSent here by a friend. Ordered noodles. Had a female server and then a male server took over. Followed his suggestions.
They were busy, but not full. Took a long time to order and almost 40 minutes after we ordered to get our food.
My colleague ordered wine recommended by the server and had 3 sips and totally hated it. I’m not a drinker, but he said it tasted like fermented juice that sugar was added to. He did not send it back and left the virtually full bottle behind. I lost the entire next day and part of the following day of my vacation because of food poisoning from the food at Yum Yum Wok. My colleague ate something different and didn’t get sick.
Things to note:
They need a drink menu. They need better servers. Food tasted good, but gave me food poisoning (both ends). They need better food handling practices. The live music was a nice volume, but sounded terrible.
There are better places to have a meal while on vacation in Puerto Morelos. I would never go here again because of the food poisoning and impact to my trip...
Read moreWow, what a delightful experience! This was my first time trying their breakfast (I usually do takeout in the evenings), and it definitely won't be my last. The restaurant itself is super clean, open, and airy – perfect for enjoying that lovely Caribbean breeze. We had the teriyaki chicken and the egg sandwiches, along with an unsweetened brew tea and a refreshing cucumber mint lime water. Everything came out in good time, the portion sizes were just right, and the presentation was absolutely beautiful. More importantly, the food tasted incredible! The staff were also exceptionally friendly and attentive, coming to our table right away. I was so impressed that I'm already planning my next visit – the drinks at the next table looked amazing, and those eggs have my name on them! Highly recommend checking...
