When was the last time you had a custom-made icecream cake?… oh and one that had edible gold leaf at that!?. Well, I am without words to express my gratitude to Sofia Forti, Chef & Artist Maurizio, Diana, Lola and the rest of the team at Panna E Cioccolato Puerto Morelos who made something as routinary as getting a bday cake for my husband Christopher and our dear friend Theresa into an awesome and unforgettable experience. Chef Maurizio met with me and explained all the possibilities, I gave him full creative license and he went above and beyond with it. He really meant it when he said he “enjoys putting smiles on peoples’ faces”. I just put the cake out for about 30 mins before cutting (per his instructions) and it cut perfectly. It was also delicious! Caramel ice cream with pralines. Super happy to have had the 1st IceCreamCake of PuertoMorelos (beside their trial runs that is) 😋

WOW! This is the best espresso I have ever drunk outside of Italy. They serve locally roasted beans and the store is a showroom to Bialetti Moka coffee makers. If you are a Bialetti fan it is well worth a look. The cake selection was fantastic so many great options and all with reasonable prices. The two we had were both delicious. The ice cream looked very good, with a great variety and looked to be fresh ingredients. The table of what seemed to be the owners waved and said hello and the inside is air-conditioned which was a welcome break from outside. This place was really exciting! I think I'm going to go back for dinner 😅✌️

Panna y cioccolato is a chain ice cream shop, they also sell coffee and other cakes. At the time of writing a single scoop of ice cream cost mex$40 and 2 scoops was mex$60. This store is cheaper than the one in Puerto Morelos by the beach, the coffee beans are also cheaper. I’d recommend the mint chocolate or the pistachio ice cream 🍦 very nice 👍

We had a pleasant experience here in June 2020. They have vegan (dairy-free) ice cream of several great flavors and creaminess, which are not just sorbet options. The Mamey and Maracuya flavors were particularly delicious (I don't recommend the berry), and apparently they are quite natural without nasty additives, made of mostly pure fruit. The outdoor seating has a couple of tables and the service was quick and efficient. Payment can be made with a credit card but it is not as convenient for them, as it is through a smartphone-connected terminal, so cash is better. Bonus, the prices at this location are slightly lower than at the port-side location, and there are vegan date...
