Los Patojos — Restaurant in Puerto Morelos

OMG, what a delicious food. Very small and hidden place in Pto Morelos. Outside of the Coast area, close to the main road. This place has it all, great food (big portions) delicious natural drinks (1 liter) and the price was very very affordable. Coming from USA-Florida, this was a surprise for us, we thought we knew mex food, but wow. The food here was amazing. We loved it. There is a plate called "La Gringa", you got to try it, and the "Tacos al Pastor", holy sh.. I'll give to this place 6 stars on food and drinks , plus very friendly service too. But remember, it's not the type of restaurant located on the public beach areas, this is more like a hidden home restaurant. If you see my reviews of places and restaurant las, you should know I am very very picky about the flavor, atmosphere and great service. I hope you can enjoy...

We lived in Puerto Morelos for four months last winter and this place was three doors up from a friend of ours. From the minute I walked in it was a pleasant experience. The smell of the food and the huge friendly smile of Cristian the father and head cocinero of the restaurant had me sold. The burrito! Omg! The burrito! Huge and delicious. One of these is enough to share. Christian along with his two very polite and English speaking sons made this little spot something special for me. My wife and I ate there numerous times and also did take-out. Christian also likes to sing when he is cooking. He is a good singer as well. We are going back this coming winter and looking forward to the burritos. Buena suerte Los Patojos!...

Great spot and prices. Stop here and eat for less than just about anywhere on the tourist side of town. This is a local spot. Does not cater to foreigners. For this reason you are getting real authentic food. Be mindful they only take pesos I believe. Not sure about cards. Anyways to get to it you have to take a right iff the highway and turn right again at the first street. If you go about 1000 feet off the highway you have gone too far. There are practically no signs to get to it so trust google. This place is the definition if a hole in the wall. A word of caution. Im a 5-6 taco man myself. 3 was more than enough. Great place....
