Quesadillas de la Colonia — Restaurant in Puerto Morelos

We had the most amazing quesadillas de cochinita pibil here. I am used to quesadillas with no cheese, these do have cheese by default but you can ask them to omit it. This is a no frills no AC place, typical of Mexico. We were lucky to make it because they stopped serving after we arrived, they stop serving at 2. If you are visiting the area and have a car, I definitely recommend this spot. The food is amazing made right in front of you, the drinks are cold, and it felt like I was in my abuelita's kitchen. The quesadillas are kind of big so if you want to try a bunch it would be good to split them. Oh YEAH! Each quesadilla is 20 pesos!...

A main stable when I'm in the area. We stay on this side of the freeway and stop by almost every day on our way to the beach or out of town. I've never had quesadillas this good! I like the variety of meat and veggies options. They are very filling and so affordable!
