Taqueria El Vecino — Restaurant in Puerto Morelos

During our stay in Puerto Morelos, we visited this place twice. We should have come here from the first day of our trip! This place is a restaurant loved by locals. We were the only foreigners. The food near the beach is either scarce, lacking in ingredients, tasteless, or expensive. This place is generous with meat and sauces. We tried the Pollo taco con queso and Asada taco con queso, and they were so delicious that I was impressed. The corn tortillas were also so good! Even though their English is limited, they took our orders diligently and always greeted us with a smile face. They are really really friendly. Even the price was inexpensive. If I visit this area again, I will definitely come...

We dropped by here on the way from PDC to cenotes to buy something to take out for a picnic. Already saw reviews that the owner is friendly and easygoing, he really was fun, and the food was yummy! We ordered chicken and pork sandwiches, then the smell was so good and the vibe with Spanish rap music was pretty cool that we decided to have one on the spot! It was great of course. This is really like a hidden gem. Nothing fancy, but the food is excellent (AUTHENTICO). The people there really make you feel like you’re at a friend’s house enjoying good food and having a good time! I would recommend for anyone...
