Buffet Hacienda — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

Great food, impossible not to find something you like. They have chocolate covered fruits almost every morning, lots of fruit options, meats, fish, pastries, omelet and pasta stations, crepes, etc. Huge variety. They also have a self serve coffee machines that make great latte and cortado coffee. Fresh juices, 5-6 varieties, served every morning. Waiters are attentive and friendly. Do not pass the soups they serve for lunch, every single one I tried was delicious.

My only two suggestions would be to have more dessert options for lunch (plenty for breakfast, but lunch is lacking variety) and maybe add condensed milk or chocolate next to crepe station during lunch time, since the only option they have for crepes are diced fruits and jam. Otherwise, plenty of great options for breakfast and lunch.

Wonderful service and plentiful food here at the Hacienda. We stayed at the Barcelo palace for almost a week and had every breakfast as well as a few lunches at this restaurant. The food is very good, lots of variety, impossible not to find something that you like. There are many self serve stations as well as stations where chefs will make you something customized like an omelette or pasta dish.

We would also like to personally recognize our two favorite waitresses Angelica Poot and Aremi Zunu as well as their team of helpers Manuel Corrillo, Yalbet Martinez and Alexander Lopez. This was our third visit to Barcelo Maya Palace, and it certainly won’t be our last! One of the main reasons we keep coming back is because of a dear friend we met at the Hacienda buffet—Marcelo Tec.
