I don't want this to reflect on the staff in anyway. They were wonderful and the food is very good, but I would not call it Brazilian at all. I've been to Brazil. Twice. My ex boyfriend is Brazilian. So I know Brazilian as well as an American can. Feijoada is not a soup and this one is very thin. There's no pao de quejo. There's no Guarana. There's no farofa. Im not even sure if theres cachaca for caipirinhas. The food TASTES good but it shouldn't be called Brazilian. At all.

Edit: well they took one of the forks and I asked for another. They said okay and never came back. I'm eating w my hands as we now have one fork for the 2 of us. The meat is over cooked. My boyfriend had to cut my meat for me because it was so tough it was physically hurting my wrist. I haven't had a refill of water in quite some time. Which I need in order to consume the dry meat. Not impressed. We came from the Maya riviera and low key regretting eating outside of that resort. It pales...

This was our 3rd visit over 14 years to this restaurant, and it is no longer a desirable place to eat. Service-wise, it took over 15 minutes for them to get a child seat to our table. Empty water glasses would remain empty for 20 minutes or longer. Staff in general just did not seem friendly. Food-wise, the "rodizio menu option" includes a person coming by the table to provide 1 of each of the 7 meat offerings (once per meat), over a 1+ hour span. Most rodizios will have a constant rotation of these meats -- which allows a person to decide what they want to eat and how much and how often -- but not here. Many of the meat selections were quite dry, over-cooked, and aside from the chicken, none had ANY flavor. The picanha which is usually one of the most flavourful selections at a rodizio, had zero flavor. None of my family were impressed with this restaurant and I do not recommend...

We are vacationing for the first time at Barcelo Maya Palace. We had dinner tonight at Rodizio and it was great! Our serving staff, Benjamin Jimenez, Araceli Castro, and Alejandro Chilaco were AMAZING! They all went above and beyond to make our visit perfect. First, we got our reservation time mixed up but they were so understanding and sat us anyway. They went over the menu in detail, giving us their recommendations. Our son wasn’t feeling well, and ended up returning to our room. Our servers went out of their way to create a plate “to-go” for us to take back to him to eat later. We appreciated this so much. It was so thoughtful! We had the Filet, Spinach Lasagna, and Ribeye. All delicious and perfectly cooked. Thank you Benjamin, Araceli, and Alejandro for making our dinner experience one we...

I would give this place more stars if that was possible. The best restaurant we have visited at Barcelo. Service was very fast. Salad bar was disappointing, but minestrone soup was pretty good (I would skip the salad next time). We had rib eye steak and filet mignon. Although rib eye was pretty good, filet mignon was hands down the best. The sauces they give you for the meat are delicious and compliment the flavor of the steak. However, the best part of the meal was the dessert. I forgot the name of it, but that chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and sesame caramel (waiter said it was their most popular dessert) was out of this world! I have a sweet tooth and tried many desserts, but this particular one was one of the best ones I had in my entire life! I kid you not it’s so good, don’t miss out.

Let me start by saying that Service was amazing and I'd give it 6 stars if possible, the atmosphere is also quite nice. The food was awesome, but I can't give it 5 stars for a few things... even though the restaurant is called Rodízio, it's not a rodizio business model so it's a little deceiving that you go there expecting for a rodizio due to the name, and it's not. Also, caipirinhas are not made with cachaça, they were.made with rum and we're good, but that's not caipirinha. And lastly, they offered Feijoada, but again, it was not Feijoada, but more a bean soup. Overall, everything was really good, but they failed several expectations

Yesterday we visited this restaurant, and to be honest, it didn’t leave a strong impression on me. Out of everything I ordered, I really enjoyed the soup, but all the other dishes were just okay—nothing with a “wow” factor. The steak, the ravioli, and the tiramisu were all solidly average. Honestly, I’ve had steaks at more casual restaurants that were just as juicy and flavorful. My expectations were a bit higher going in. Overall, based on my experience, I’d give this restaurant about a 3.5 out of 5. It definitely has room for improvement in terms of service and guest attention. I wouldn’t go back a second time.
