Pancho Villa — Restaurant in Tulum

My favourite beach restuarant in Tulum and for me a better beach than Playa de Carman or Cancun. They clean the seaweed by machine daily when necessary. I love the natural feel of the side vendors on the sand road located in the national park and at Poncha Villa Restuarant I have my best massage place run by Raymundo the Master Myan who does 6 Myan special treatments, speaks English, Spanish, Myan. A big shout out to Jazmin and Miriam and Lorrenzo who give the best massages for the best prices in Tullum and Playa. This is the natural place I want to spend the rest of my life at!!! Good drinks and food at the Poncha Villa restaurant, big open air palapas, reasonable price, What more can you ask for???

One of the Worst Dining Experiences Ever – Avoid at All Costs!

If you’re considering visiting this beachfront restaurant, don’t let the location fool you. It may have a nice view, but that’s where the positives end.

From the moment we walked in, the service was shockingly bad. The waiters were cold, rude, and completely uninterested. We were barely acknowledged, and no one came to check on us during the meal. I had to go twice myself just to get ice – can you imagine doing that at a so-called premium restaurant?

And the worst part? They slapped on a 20% service charge to the bill without asking or informing us. For what? Zero hospitality, no attention, and arrogant staff behavior?

To make things worse, the prices were ridiculously overpriced for the mediocre food and below-basic service. There was absolutely no value for money.

It’s truly disappointing. Unless you want to pay a premium to be ignored and treated poorly, skip this place. You’re better off grabbing a snack from a street vendor and enjoying the...

Very scammy vibe here. Ordered guacamole and chicken quesadillas during their happy hour. Were told there was a buy one get one promotion for drinks, for 250 pesos, so we ordered a set. Had to ask for chips for the guacamole as they literally gave us only 4 chips.

Food was good, can't complain there. Once the bill came though the waiter had tacked on another set of drinks, 300 pesos each, and 15% tip. He sheepishly admitted fault of the drinks, like a child getting caught in a lie. Once I went to the cashier to get it changed, I just wanted to get out of there. Just paid for everything including the ridiculous tip.

For 2 drinks, guacamole and 3 chicken tacos, the bill came close to 900 pesos. Initially they tried to bill us 1250 pesos. Cannot stress enough the scummy vibes here, save your money and have a better experience in literally any other restaurant.
