Would love to give this place a 5 star, but the charge to use a credit card was $30 on a $139 bill. I guess the tip was included, I took it that way, so no harm done.

The Pastor tacos were the best. Drinks were also great.

This restaurant is connected to the golf karts that we rented at the port. They followed me here and corralled me into this place so that I wouldn’t keep going anywhere else. I fell for it, I should have kept driving around since I paid for the all day golf kart. $120.

Also, I should have took the taxi cab here for $4, $8 roundtrip instead of the $120, there really isn’t anywhere to go after this place, cause everything is walking distance.

We wanted to split our tab, they balk about that, which we did anyways. My tab was 72, plus a fee for using a credit card, plus a courtesy fee, plus a fee for 15 or more people by the time each card was ran, an extra 20-25 dollars was added on top of the cost. El capitán mono is an affordable beach club in the center of the malecón/boardwalk in Mahuhual. We got good service from Ivan. The food was good and affordable.They have sectioned off an area in the ocean so to keep the Sargasso away so the beach was pretty clean. There were absolutely no rough waves in this area.
