La Pancha — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

After reviewing reviews near the Costa Maya port, I decided to bring my family for authentic, delicious tacos. We had a great day exploring Costa Maya and wanted to end the day with a great meal. I am not sure why people put on the reviews that food is cheap and delicious here. Taco is $4 each. My teenage niece and nephews can eat 6 each. Coca Cola is $4 each. They also charge taxes and want tip. It is nothing special. You can get these tacos at home. Tortillas are store bought. Not home made. They grill the meat and put Cinlantro and onions. I can get this back home for $2.50 each. Not sure why this place gets great reviews. Very over priced. No chips. No salsa. You get a sauce you can put on and limes. Skip it. We should have just ate on the cruise ship. I only ate here because of the reviews. If they are serving you, store bought tortillas, you don’t need to eat at a restaurant. You can make that at home. If you are on a cruise, just go eat on the ship. No need to eat mediocre food that is very overpriced.

After the response from the owner, it validated why people should not come here. I have left hundreds of reviews. This response from the owner is very unprofessional. As a customer, I can share my experience with fellow travelers. I don’t like paying for tacos that are made from store bought tortillas. I also think $4 coke and $4 a taco is very overpriced. Calling us poor because we felt that the cost of the food was not worth the food and calling us dirty because my sister-in-law ate an orange, you are a terrible human being. Sir, I cleaned the table after we ate. I think it tells a lot about a character when you respond to feedback. You should think about what people are saying and try to improve...

We came to spend a day in the area and fancied some locally prepared tacos. The menu is simple but with enough options, the prices are more than reasonable and the food was very tasty. Happened to coincide with my birthday; I had “happy birthday” played for me so I won’t forget the experience for a while. I had a Mirinda for the first time in decades and absolutely loved the food…
