Insieme Trattoria — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

Really lovely restaurant with fantastic service and lovely food.

We came here a few times for lunch. It's worth noting that you're not meant to have wet clothes, so make sure you dry off before coming for lunch.

The tomatoe and mozzarella salad is delicious, really lovely and fresh. The portion size is quite small, so you don't ruin your appetite. The sandwiches and pastas are really nice, the lasagne was delicious, and lots of good flavours coming through. The pizza can be a bit hit and miss, sometimes quote doughy and other times quite dry. The toppings are nice, though. Oh and the bread, oil, and balsamic is a really hit, we always asked for seconds of that!

We had lunch at the Italian restaurant, and while the setting was nice, the food quality was hit-or-miss. The shrimp risotto was average with bland shrimp, and the grilled chicken entrée was plain with poorly cooked rice. The calamari was overly oily, and the lasagna had too much sauce that overpowered the dish.

The fish entrée was the best item we tried — flavorful and well-cooked. For dessert, the tiramisu tasted oddly salty, but the key lime pie was bright and enjoyable. Overall, it’s an okay dining option, but the kitchen needs better consistency to live up to the resort’s...

Wonderful dinner this evening at Trattoria Insieme, at Finest Playa Mujeres. Excellent service by our favorite server during this trip so far, Hermes. A few standout dishes include: the arancini, clams in white wine and saffron sauce, and the beef carpaccio - all perfectly prepared by Chef Geovani.
