Horrible experience with restaurant waiter and captain.
Saturday 13/08 went there to spend the day. We ordered some drinks in the morning and afternoon we had some lunch. During lunch before leaving I asked a waiter to put my kid's fish fingers to go as he didn't finished his food. We went to the beach and waiter came with a new order of fish fingers. I told him I didn't ask that, but the waiter kept insisting I did, but that he would check with the captain. In the afternoon when the check arrived, they charged us not only 1 or 2 but 3 fish fingers. I mentioned this to the waiter and said he would check again. The waiter came back with another waiter and with the waiter's captain. Waiter kept insisting I ordered the dish to go. Obviously he misunderstood me, it was an obvious confusion but the captain took the waiter's side and ask me for the "exact words" I used when I asked my leftovers to go. The waiter not accepting his mistake or the obvious misunderstanding and what's worse, the captain also taking his side and interrogating us like we were at a police station made the experience horrible. The check was above 5k pesos, and they were arguing for 200 pesos that was obviously the waiters mistake (plus another plate that they added by mistake but they didn't even mention this other error they made).
We will continue to use the beach club and now we will spend 0 pesos every time we go. So they not only lost 200 pesos but will continuously loose our business every time we use the beach club.
The only sane waiter was the one serving us at the beach side. He did an excellent job.
What an incompetent waiter at the restaurant, but more importantly the waiter's captain failing to see how annoying residents over an obvious misunderstanding hurts more his businesses on...
Read moreFrom best to worst! We have been frequenting this beach club for the last few months and the changes in the rules of this place is amazingly infuriating…every day we go the rules are different, we have started with “any consumption is good for you to enjoy the beach beds….then at a third visit the rule was that you have to consume for at least 300 pessos to be able to enjoy the beach beds, and today they have charged 300 pesso for a beach bed on the top of the consumption without any warning and without any information, and you are being ambushed with this ridiculous price at the checkout. Well, they lost two customers today - I have no idea who would pay 300 pessos for this bed in this location, and definitely it will not be me nor a few others that got the same nasty surprise. And previously it was a busy location but as it is in Mexico often, the “greediness kills the goose”. See you never Kay Beach Club, we will be spending our money (I just calculated that we have spent close to $5000 pessos there) somewhere else as I consider you a...
Read moreThis was our favorite beach club of our trip. Also, the prettiest beach that we went to, a little busy though because it is a public beach. This is one thing that I don’t like about Mexico. All beaches should be public! Parking was adjacent, and they asked for a donation which was fine. Towels were provided, and sun beds were comfortable. They had the best service of any beach club on our trip. The guys were very kind and attentive. Bathrooms were public and kind of behind the building of the beach club so a little bit of a walk, but they were clean and well supplied. You were charged to use the sun beds, but then all food and drinks were extra at very reasonable prices. I prefer this method you know exactly where you stand when the bill comes. Best guacamole we had on our trip! I wish we’d found this place sooner, it was closest to our accommodations and...
