While this may be a ‘gourmet’ restaurant, the fact that we had to wait a whopping 1 hr 15 mins just for bread was unacceptable. Not only that, but other parties whom had come after us were served their starters and mains before us, leaving us schocked and appalled. Once the food did come out, it was very tasty. Would recommend the ratatouille and chicken dish. The desserts however were not up to standards, since the waiter served us a ‘tart tatan’ (apple tart) with sweet potato filling. The bathroom was also below expectations. While it was functional, it lacked any wow factors such as an elevated stall area. I was especially appalled that the faucet worked. Many places are making efforts to reduce environmental impact but this is definitely not one of those places. Overall, the restaurant shines in some regards but falls behind in others. If you’re truly wanting to visit this fine establishment, consider doing something right after placing the order. I recommend visiting Cafe La Habana in Merida (approx 3 hours away) for the elevated bathroom experience, crowned as a tourist destination all over the world. Read moreHonestly pretty terrible. Gave it 2 stars because the foie gras appetizer was delicious, but the other courses were awful and the hostess was miserable. For my main I had mussels and fries snd the mussels must have been cooked at least a day before I got them, and the triple cooked fries I think were microwaved before I got them. The tarte tatin dessert was an inedible rock hard tart with raw apple and cinnamon ice cream that literally was just a mouthful of cinnamon, I only ate one bite. My boyfriend had a seabass dish that was flavourless. The kitchen is attached to the buffet ay Akumal so it really felt like they just grabbed food from the buffet. Do not eat at this one. Literally try and of the other a la cartes...

The food was simply fantastic. Traditional Mexican flavours with a nice touch of international and modern culinary. The desserts were particularly delicious!
The service was outstanding! From the hostess at the entrance, Areli the chef, who took time to come to our table to talk with us and ask our feedback, to Roberto our waiter, who is full of kindness and genuine interest to serve. They all made our night memorable.
We went back to our room with a smile in our faces. Not just because of the delicious meals we had, but also because of the beautiful interaction with this group of fantastic...
